I noticed that most of the underground information on this roster has Eddie in there, but Soccer Times doesn't have Cory there.

Hopefully this is because he needs rest and not because Bruce doesn't think he is good enough....

    Anyone have any inside info?

He's not on the list Ridge Mahoney had on Soccer America. It looks like Bruce is giving a longer look to some people he has either not seen, not seen in a while, or seen only a little. I think he knows pretty much what he is going to get with Gibbs, so I am not alarmed by his omission.

He is on the roster,if you watched one of the exclusive ussoccer.com videos with EJ, Cory was right next to him on the bench before practice.

Isn't he suspended due to card accumulation from this game?

No, that was the last match. I hope Cory is in there otherwise our defence is going to blow goats. Suarez and Califf? They are hardly top MLS class defenders much less international quality. I would like to see Spector get a shot at left back. If he can win "Man of the Match" honors from Skysports for his perfromance against Everton, then he is ready to get a shot with the Nats.

Hey, good for Ryan Suarez, if he is the one you are referring to. I wish Maldini the best of luck. I think that with time, he will be a good one.

I always thought that Suarez had the talent to become the Nat's right back but as of this point in time, I think he is too much of a head case to succeed.

Being on the bench and on the roster are different, the practice squad gets cut down prior to the match. Very few key player are being brought in for the Jamaica match, it's actually a good sign for Cory to be left out because BA knows what he's about by now.

Ryan has played his last game for LA and Sampson. If a trade can not be worked out he will go play in a foreign country next season. He and Marshall were the backbone of La's defense last season and he got moved out for an injured/out of form Califf (hard to say about a former terp but true). He should be pi$$ed and he is.

Can we pencil him in on the striped goats roster? Sounds like the poster child for what Vergara was talking about.

It's good news for FC Dallas fans. After 15+ months of straight soccer, Gibbs is a man who needs 2 months of beach time without even looking at a soccer ball. I think we will see far less mental mistakes next year after he has recharged his soccer brain.

From watching the videos on ussoccer.com, I can say with 100% confidence that EJ, Martino, Sanneh, Hejduk, Donovan and Gibbs are all there. There is also a guy with long black hair who I am assuming could only be Suarez. I also thought I saw Howard, but upon second look it could be Busch as he is looking away from the camera. Damn winter hats makes it tough to figure out who the rest of them are. Actually there were quite a few faces that were not immediately recognizable to me in the quick glimpse the video showed of them.

My US nats source came back with a lineup for the game.
He's fairly hooked in so it's worth comment.

    ========================
    Convey isn't making the trip.

    Starting lineup is:

    Keller
    Albright Gooch Sanneh Gibbs
    Mastroeni
    Ralston Corrales
    Donovan
    EJ McBride

No word on reserves, told Cannon will be the reserve GK.

    forking Ramiro Corrales?

    and no Gaven?

I'm the biggest Bruce homer in the world.

And why the hell is Keller in after just going on loan to Soton?

Cannon deserves this game more than anyone else.

Buzz, are you _SURE_ this is the lineup?

I haven't been reading that USMN&A board, guess i need to head over....

    YEECH!!

Ralston and Corrales as the wingers?

    YEECH!!

Donovan or Eddie better dribble through about 5 guys and score, otherwise it ain't happening.

Probably not. For the expansion draft the unprotected players are: Paul Broome, Dan Popik, Marcelo Saragosa and Arturo Torres. Maybe Torres to Chivas? (Saragosa's contract may be too tricky for Chivas)

I'd rather they not - of the teams who can make it (all three, in fact), they are the team with the most potential to be a long-term problem in the Hex. I'd rather have a weaker Hex. As such, I'd rather see El Salvador or Panama in there.

As for the strength of the US team - I think it is safe to say that for many of these guys, this is their last chance to make an impression on Bruce in a game that Matters. I think you will see a rather motivated group tomorrow night.

isnt that the truth, half of these guys(figuratively speaking) wont see action in one minute of the hex unless we have a lame duck game like tomorrow(knock on wood) ;)
