Looked ok from what I saw. But why do we persist letting our fullbacks not switch the ball when they get it. They just kick it up tthe pitch and we give it straight back. The back four need to be sorted out.

Great result no matter how you look at it or spin it. Confidence builder to say the least.

    Hope it continues through WCQing.

Williams at right midfield needs to end, he needs to get a chance somewhere else on the field where he actually plays.

    Great result.

What an amazing result! Edu and Bradley were absolutely brilliant in the middle!!!! Shea and Williams looked pretty useless. I think we should keep spector at LB, and move johnson to LAM. and we shouldn't start williams at RAM ever again. I'd prefer pretty much anyone else at that spot

i can't say we looked good ... but beating italy for the first time ever and the first time italy has ever lost in Genoa ... i guess you can't scoff at that.

but lot's of mediocre to bad performances ... Shea, Jozy, Goodson, Kljestan, ... gotta do better.

Can someone please explain briefly how the second half played out. I saw the first half but I just couldn't watch the second half.

Wonderful result. Fine play across the team, and some excellent play from many of the guys as well. Dogged defending at the end, and a bit of luck throughout. But you don't beat a team like Italy on the road without some luck.

    That was fun. Bravo.

I had Bocanegra as MOTM, but, yes, Bradley is just solid as can be.

Bradley, Howard, Johnson and Deuce deserve plaudits. Also, the much maligned Jozy with a great assist and generally a very good second half. Williams as well. Plenty of kudos to go around. 2nd viewing will give more detail.

    That's extremely harsh.

This team hadn't lost in this place in almost 100 years until this bunch of American guys just did it.

One of the best games I have seen from Edu.
