how do we go from an attack minded lineup at CR to a more conservative line-up at home? BB, you disappoint me

Coach has gone from far too offensive, to far too defensive. He would have been much better off playing THIS lineup against CRC.

Awesome, a central midfield pairing that can't even pass gas never mind pass a football forward.

90 minutes of route 1 coming up. Let's hope the Hondurans didn't bring their shooting boots tonight.

    From the last thread:

Well I think they think making the World Cup is a shoe-in.

Personally though if I were coach, mainly for psychological reasons I'd play in all big stadiums. I'd play Mexico at the Rose Bowl. Why? It'd send the message to the opposition "we're not scared of you or your fans", and I'd only play the players from then on that would respond in such a situation. If a player can respond and play well in that environment, he's good enough to play in a World Cup. Not to mention the national team selling out a 90000-seat stadium in a widely watched qualifier makes the sport look bigger and more mainstream in the eyes of the casual sports fan. Plus: $$$$$.

Player: "Coach, there's 90k out there and 70k of them are cheering for Mexico."
Me: "You are a great soccer player, you should be able to handle it. The best way to silence them is to score goals. Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!"

This game should be very interesting. I'm going to be heart broken if it's a quick couple of goals from Honduras

    Which will be greater:

    # of times Bornstein gets exposed

    or

    # of times we turnover the ball in the midfield

The no Torres starting (much less not in the 18) and no Adu at all is baffling to me.

BB really should've used this lineup at CR and the CR lineup against honduras at home.

Well that was an away game on hard turf.

Tonight we're at "home" on good turf.
