Kickoff on BEIN 8:00PM. The USA is currently third in the Hex with 12 points following a rollercoaster ride to World Cup qualification. We win tonight and we are through to Russia, but a tie would likely also do the job as it would be unlikely that Panama and Honduras could make up significant goal differentials in their tough match ups against Costa Rica and Mexico. Despite a fantastic performance against Panama, Bruce has shown a propensity to rotate players for the second match during this cycle. One benefit of this is that everybody stays sharp and involved. A couple of key questions regarding the lineup. 1. It was noted that Christian Pulisic was banged up following the Panama match. Will he be starting and where? He sure made the difference in the last match in Denver. 2. Geoff Cameron appears to have been held out to gain some more recovery for his hamstring issue. Where is he going to play? 3. How defensive will the lineup be? Will we come out with twin 6's. Right now, it appears Dax has the inside track over Kellyn Acosta. 4. Will we see the three man back line we saw in Mexico? 5. Clint Dempsey, will he start and get the record? 6. Benny Feilhaber, inquiring minds want to know. This is a great opportunity to step up and make an impression. Paul Arriola was the most recent. Who else will shine tonight?
Free 7 day trial of fubotv is my method. Cancelling after the weekend games just in case there's something interesting on Bein.
Huge game. I excpect nothing but urgency and attacking play. 4-1 USA. Bruce is going to have the boys ready no problem.
I don't see why not starting him and sub CP in for him when he's tired and already scored a hattrick...lol...
Given the weather situation, I'd suspect a messy and low-scoring game. 1-0 or 2-0 USA. I also expect a squad rotation, as Bruce has done in the past on these short turnaround games. That means we probably see Cameron, Ream, Beasley, Bedoya, Dax or Acosta and even Feilhaber. A totally out-of-leftfield based on no real evidence and the assumption Pulisic's injury will keep him out of the starting lineup: 3-5-2 Altidore-Wood Nagbe-Feilhaber-Bedoya Bradley-Dax Ream-Gonzalez-Cameron Howard
Given Arena's comments on the midfield re. his Dax sub, and given that a tie works, I wouldn't be shocked to see a more defensive midfield. Dunno about a 3-2-3-2, but maybe. I could see either Dax or Bedoya starting. Be surprised if both - that's pretty dull in the midfield if you ask me. Also Ream... ugh.
Well it's just a guess. It really depends on whether Pulisic is available. I think the midfield is bound to be pretty dull without him. There is no like-for-like replacement.
Using my parents' cable subscription to get BeIn streamed online. No way am I dealing with that ********ing Goal90 app again.
That's right -- but it is an "add-on", not in the basic package (just in case anyone is looking into this). Still, 7 days free like you say.
i just moved to virginia beach, plz sports package gods be kind and give me Bein..... edit: YAAAAASS the Cox gods favor me!
Wow. No changes. Tonight’s U.S. MNT Starting XI at Trinidad & Tobago: 1-Tim Howard, 2-DeAndre Yedlin, 3-Omar Gonzalez, 4-Michael Bradley, 5-Matt Besler, 6-Darlington Nagbe, 9-Bobby Wood, 10-Christian Pulisic,15-Jorge Villafaña, 17-Jozy Altidore, 21-Paul Arriola
So, in my area, Comcast's Latino premium package includes Bein, as well as a bunch of other sports channels, for $45 a month (including internet). The cheapest English package that has Bein is over four times that price. For reasons I do not understand, even the English basic package in my area (10 channels only) is still more expensive than the Latino premium. Of course, the channels are all in Spanish. I do not speak a word of Spanish. This is a bit of a downside. That said, I don't ever need to listen to Taylor Twellman say anything ever again.
Everything the same Agudelo and Orozco are not in uniform— Steven Goff (@SoccerInsider) October 10, 2017
Very surprised to see same starting 11. I can't think of either a critic or a supporter of Bruce's who anticipated this. Just a few "go git'em boys" type posters.... That said: go git'em, boys!
