No hotel plans yet... anybody still looking for someone to share a room with? Arriving on the 10th and leaving on the 12th... More beer $$$ right!? Anyone?
Just because you will be staying at a Holiday Inn Express, I don't want to see you out on the field trying to ref the game. : )
I just switched from the Drury Inn to the Clarmont. I like the idea of being across the street from Claddaugh's.
Being I don't know how to drive in snow (and it might be snowing) I got a room at the Day's Inn- Fairgrounds also. I have stayed there before and it is close to sCrew Stadium.
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/columns/story?id=613515&sec=us&root=us&cc=5901 Where are they staying? Mexico to arrive in Columbus earlier Project Mayhem does not exist........
Two more at the German Village Inn. To those who have stayed there, how far to the nearest pub? Also, could someone who knows summarize the parking situation at Crew Stadium? Is it limited? If so, how early should one get there to ensure they get a space?
Days Inn - Fairgrounds +3 Bars at the University of Iowa are 19+. I'm going to assume that Columbus is 21 only. Can anyone confirm this. Also, is the stadium within walking distance of the Days Inn. I bought a VIP parking spot to be safe as we're driving from Iowa...hoping it there isn't horrible weather.
Columbus is 21+. There have always been bars who served the underage population on campus. That's about a mile west of your motel. The Days Inn is across the street from the stadium essentially. Judging from the line down 4th St during the playoffs you'll be passing the cars. And those games weren't sold out.
Well now this is odd. Google maps failed me yesterday. I get a completely different result today. Good to know.
you will be a less than 10 minute walk (just north on High about 6 or so blocks then west for one block) from Claddagh were all the USA Supporters will be. don't worry about parking. there will be buses running from Claddagh to the game (and back). if you really want to drive, there is plenty of parking at the stadium. but it is expensive and in a grass (mud) field. take the pub's buses.
yeah its one block west and then one block north. i believe it is the closest hotel to the bar. your'e good.
I will be staying at Claremont inn and suites. This is my 2nd nat game and the 1st one that I will be partaking in the pre and post game activities. Does anyone know what time things are going to get rolling at Claddagh's on Wed. I'm trying to do it real big being the first time and all.
i will be in my usually seat the moment the door opens. this is usally around 11 am. however, i was talking with the manager, and if we all aren't too hungover from the night before and want to start early, it might be possible to open up earlier.
