Abby- the rookie- soon to be a USWNT legend, along with Mia! Mia's back. Back again. Mia's BACK tell a friend. No, TELL EVERYONE!!
Go abby- way to show everyone who doubted you!;)

    depends on the season
This is very exciting, Mia and Abbs look great together out there on the pitch. It's really a credit to the WUSA - creating chemistry like that. My goodness, they really complement eachother well.

On another sort of related note- I was watching the Scotish line up and though it was American that had gone randomly Freedom- being that playing defense was a Cook and a Barr. If only! : )

    Yeah, baby!!

Mia was en fuego the second half!! and she got a double triple - goal hat trick and assist hat trick. You GO, girl!! She and Abby really work well together.

I bet that April had a mouthful for the whole team after the first half though! LOL!!

On a sadder note, I was rather speechless when they said that Brandi's mother died yesterday. Geeze... I'm amazed that she was able to play and play so well. I guess it took her mind off her grief for a while. I asked this in the 'Rays forum, but does anyone know if she was ill or if this was totally unexpected? I certainly hadn't heard anything, but that doesn't mean anything. I'm glad she went in her sleep...

My sincerest, heartfelt condolences go out to her and her family. God bless them all.

I didn't get to see the game, but i have heard so much about it. I am viewing the Carolina vs Freedom game when they won 5-2 and boy do Abby, Mia & Bai Jie work good together!

I also feel really bad for Brandi and I hope everything will go great for her!! I wish her all the best and i'm glad she can play like the good ol' Brandi that we all know and love!

It seems like less of a result and more of a game stat to me.

Ok I just wanna say it. In case i've not made myself clear in the past.

Ahem.... MIA HAMM RULES ALL!!!! :D

Wow! That second goal was amazing. No angle and it goes in! IMO Mia is playing the best soccer of her life. I'm so happy for her.

What can we say about Abby. Man, this kid is gonna be amazing. Not that she already isn't. LOL

I hope they are both OK. Mia banged up her shoulder a bit and Abby rolled an ankle.

It would have been a Freedom treble had Siri payed. She would have stoped that mini Scotland threat.

    1) I hope Mia took alot of Advil after the match. Those two falls onto her right shoulder did not look like fun.

    2) I wonder how much Mia will play this upcoming Saturday. Anyone going?

The Breakers and the Freedom are playing an exhibition on Saturday in Boston to honor Michelle Akers, who is supposed to be playing for the Breakers on the day.
