friedel was an early champion of his, and i think there are some teams who would listen to friedels opinions on goalkeepers.
American goalkeeper Ethan Horvath is receiving interest from France, Spain and Denmark in addition to Bundesliga, he tells CBS Sports.— Roger Gonzalez (@RGonzalezCBS) July 24, 2020
With Jesse Gonzalez now gone from FC Dallas and MLS, the list of consistent starters under 27 in an MLS-ish league or better drops to one: Matt Turner. Looking at other options under 27, we have Steffen, #2 at a very big Euro club, Horvath, #2 at a decent Euro club, then a handful of low-upside MLS backups. Not sure if I'm kidding or not but maybe Danny Rogers is a possible option. He looks to be the new starter for Kilmarnock, so he might join Turner. We'll see if Rogers starts against Celtic this weekend. If he performs consistently well in that league then maybe the US should take a look. Certainly the prospect of scouting him shows how thin our senior GK depth is. The U20 depth looks promising but they are a while away, not seriously factoring until maybe the tail end of the 2026 cycle.
Well that's not great. Just out of curiosity, I looked up to see how much bigger that list gets if you extend it a few more years to under 30. Matt Turner (New England) - 26 Tyler Miller (Minnesota) - 27 Zac Macmath (Real Salt Lake) - 29 tomorrow Bill Hamid (DC) - 29 Unless there's someone I'm missing, that also seems like a pretty small list.
IF only Hamid had signed for Frankfurt in late '17 or if he tried a different league last year when his loan ended. You can't tell me he wouldn't have done well in the CHampionship or 2 Bundesliga or at any other club in Denmark
One of the group of youngsters that folks are pretty high on. US U17 starter, and had a callup to the U20s before youth programs were shut down. 1295855749617393666 is not a valid tweet id
Jurgen working his SUM good ol' boy network. Just kidding, hope Jonathan finds some success. Would be cool to see him contribute at Galaxy.

Oh now that is rich. Hope he enjoys keeping the bench warm for Bingham. Hell Vom Steeg might knock him down to GAL2
Um Klinsman coached Germany and Maradonna coached Argentina. What exactly had they done to deserve those spots except they were great players?
They were great players whose countries decided to give them a chance. Klinsmann was what Germany needed at the time. Maradona was a mess. Some times it works out, sometimes it doesnt. Zidane had a couple of years with the reserves before Real Madrid took a shot with him. That seems to have worked out fine. The same thing has happened in MLS. Some work some dont.
Has anyone ever heard of or seen Carver Miller? Why do I suspect he's a typical US youth club player whose parents moved to Germany?
That's a really recent one................. . @CarverMiller3, a 16-year-old goalkeeper from Charlottesville, Va., and D.C. United's academy, joins Arminia Bielefeld's U-17 academy squad in Germany. #dcu— Steven Goff (@SoccerInsider) August 31, 2020 By the way, we'll probably hear about Seth Wilson's move from the FC Dallas academy to Europe really soon as well.
am I remembering correctly, but doesn’t FC Dallas have Some sort of partnership/ affiliation with an EPL club?
