    You cant get a feel for a player from highlights though. They are the best points, but so much more happens in a game.. I have seen highlights of him, but I really don't feel like I have a good feel for the kind of player he is.

    Im not knocking the pick at all, I think its a good one. And I will have to take some players on sketchy info. I was just explaining why I didnt take him earlier, even though I like him as a pick at this point.

    Heres my team, as it stands now, but I think i have some room for formational change if I decide thats the best route:

    LF -------- Forward ---------
    WS ------- Donovan ---------
    OM - Gaven ----------Arnaud-
    HM -------- Mulrooney -------
    DM --------- D.Mid ----------
    OB - L.Back ---------- R.Back-
    CB ---- Robinson - C.Back ----
    GK --------- Keeper ----------

    LF = Lead Forward
    WS = Withdrawn striker
    OM = Outside Mids
    HM = Holding Mid
    DM = Defensive Mid
    OB = Outside Back
    CB = Center back
    GK = Goal keeper

    With our 6th pick FC Harpdubber '83 selects:

    Johann Smith

    [IMG]

    He's currently training with the U-23's and is finally 100% healthy after some ankle problems. With Anelka set to be leaving Bolton it's time for Johann to step up and show that he deserves a chance with the first team. If he can stay healthy, this should be an interesting and hopefully succesful year for Smith.

    With the 64th pick team "Dirty South" select Eddie Lewis of Derby County

    [IMG]

    Although he is getting to the tail end of his career he is still a very high quality player, I believe especially with the injury to Beasley he could help quite a bit in World Cup Qualifying, despite his age he still plays at a very high level, he also adds some much needed experiance and leadership to our young and athletic team.

    Our team Updated:

    ---------Johnson--------Findley---------
    -----------------Kljestan--------------
    ---Lewis-----------------------White----
    -----------------X----------------------
    ----X--------X----------X---------Wynne
    -------------------X---------------------

    "Our team is still faster than your team"

    neither McNaulty nor soccrbom2 are online and their 12 hours has passed...does that mean we move on to the next team?

    Can McNaulty and soccrbom make their pick when they get online...what is the rule?

    Yes, Geneva & Stillkickin are on the clock now, McNaulty & soccrbom2 can make their pick whenever, just like in the NFL draft.

    Right, I sent both of them PM's after I picked, plus both have been on since we made our pick. 12 hours have no passed, so the next team is up. McNaulty and Soccrbom can make there pick at any time.

    Geneva and Stillkickin are officially on the clock.

    If Geneva and Stillkickin make there pick the next team is on the clock just like normal.

    TeamSexyFootball selects our first Galaxy player:

    [IMG]

    Chris Albright
    POSITION: D
    HEIGHT: 6-1 WEIGHT:177
    BIRTHDATE: January 14, 1979
    HOMETOWN: Philadelphia, PA

    Sometimes I think only Galaxy fans know how good Chris Albright is. We as a fan group are very hard on our players, but does anyone slag on Albright? No. And that’s because he has excellent skill for his position, he's big and strong, and mostly because he gives 100% at all times. If he can stay healthy this year, he will be the heart & soul of our team (TeamSexyFootball, I mean).

    I was hoping he would drop to us at some point, Albright is a quality pick and really underrated, if he can keep his fitness, which I dont think is an issue even as of now, then he's one of the best right-backs in MLS. Great pick.

    I was waiting on that

    I haven't heard from Appoo but we were almost certain who we were taking anyway.

    So with the 7th pick in the 6th round, SC SeaPoo selects:

    Chad Barrett

    [IMG]

    [IMG]

    position: Forward
    height: 5-11
    weight: 180
    Birthdate: April 30, 1985
    Hometown: Beaverton, OR

    The talent pool at forward is decreasing with every round that goes by. We're hoping that Barrett can be our Wayne Rooney. He had 8 goals and 2 assists last season, is currently with the U-23's, so hopefully he will have a good year with the Fire and the national team.

    Team Elninho/giffenbone selects forward Nate Jaqua of the Houston Dynamo. With Joseph Ngwenya reportedly headed for Austria, Jaqua is in all likelihood going to be a key component of the Dynamo attack.

    We also considered Jaqua, I hoped he might drop to the next round but wasn't all that confident that he would, and I was right unfortunately. If you're still in the hunt for forwards like Appoo and I are, it's a dog-fight right now for the best talent.
