Yeah, but the badge was still in the lines on our home kit. This will be the first time that they badge isn't displayed on the field of stripes accross the chest. That was my argument, are they moving it higher to fit a frontal sponsor.

Re-reading my first post I understand yours. I mean moving the badge OFF not of the lines.

    I'm a dumbass

Well, MLS has never had sponsors on the front of jerseys. Just logos on sleeves and the shirt tails. If the league were to move to front logos (which I'm sure can be done for a price) then ALL of the other teams will have redisigns done. Since they tend to have large font team and city names on them.

I notice they're still hawking the backlog of 2003 jerseys on the front page of dcunited.com, can't believe they're moving too good at this point, heh!

Hopefully, not a DC United badge.

Wow...I'd forgotten how shite MLS kits used to be. Good lord. It's like we've had the only respectable-looking kit...ever. :D

Upon reviewing the year one picture, I'd like to say that not only was KC far from the worst jersey, I would rate it in the top five. It may be the worst of the 3 adidas kits, but its better than any year-1 Nike kit or the New England kit. (Reebok that year?)

How are you trolling a thread about our jerseys? And why is there a Wizards fan that hates DC so much?

Don't you have a job? Or at least internet porn? Something? Good lord.

They're not bad. I like the current one better, though.

Scarily, this isn't even the one I was thinking of. I was thinking of the one where the rainbow was up--and-down wavy across the front - like an EKG or like a rounder version of Charlie Brown's shirt.

This is the jersey that is rumored to have caused Richard Gough, upon receiving it when he arrived for his first practice with KC, to laugh and say, "Funny one, guys. Now where's the real kit?"

Outside of those 1996 fiascos (EGADS the Reebok Revs one was bad, as was the LA totem pole and the Mutant Bat green), it has always been my choice for worst MLS shirt.

But Dallas' was awesome. I always liked that it had a Latin flair to it. I have it in my top 3 for the first year.

However, I keep looking at our newest jersey and wonder why we keep adding this mesh crap. It tears easily and is an eyesore (re: our 3rd jersey). Our first-year jersey was a classic and subsequent versions have been less and less impressive. I like the idea of using red in our jersey, but it doesn't have to be so awkward. Add a red stripe in our 3 stripe jersey or have red trim on the neck and sleeves, but this random splash looks ridiculous. And what's with the red on the back? It looks fugly beyond belief.

I'd like to point out the best thing about that uniform is the color of the stripes on the socks.

    Re: Territorial Wizz'ings

Wow, a flaming rainbow ... go figure. Buzz off KempMillRecordsChatter (yes, i know you intended for that to be charter).

DC United has not had a single season where their uniforms were even close to being as ugly as the Wiz's uniforms. Frankly, you should be thanking DC United for bringing the standard of elegance to the KC uniforms, because obviously you couldn't do it on your own.

DC United has ALWAYS had the best uniform in the league ... and for a while, we had the best team too.

The uniform itself is OK. I'm very disappointed that there's any mesh, and really hate that there's a lot. Plus, if they keep pushing the badge any higher they might as well put it on the collar, because it makes me gag having it that high anyway. Also, I'm not a fan of the random splashes of red, and I'd prefer no shoulder stripes.

What's ironic is that wizardscharter is commenting on jerseys when, at the KC v. DC game in April, he preferred to wear the jersey of the Wizards' neighbors.

After looking at the new jersey, I realized that I could make it better. After ten minutes in Paint, I came up with my version and it is bitchin'. My question is how can I upload that so that everybody can take a look?

If you've moved the badge back to the middle and added the stars...I'd like to see it.

Okay, Dave: finished it up and while not picture perfect it looks a lot better than the original design. If you want, I can e-mail you a picture of it.
