I have decided to hone my powers of hatred and disgust much to my family's betterment. When it became clear MB was going to start for 8 years I lost a lot of my respect for football professionals at uSSoccer
Brah why don't you go back into your little cubby hole and let the titans of CONCACAF play. BTW, nice job against Mexico in the WC....
Starting XI: ----------------------------------Steffen(MLS)-------------------------------------- Shaq(Segunda)----CCV(Ch'ship)----Miazga(Ligue 1)----Lichaj(Ch'ship) -----------------------------------Trapp(MLS)--------------------------------------- Acosta(MLS)----Adams(MLS)-------McKenney(BuLi)----Weah(Ligue 1) -----------------------------------Zardes(MLS)------------------------------------- 5 from MLS 3 from second divisions 3 from Top 5 leagues (only two of them playing for their teams) On paper, it's not much, TBH.
I'll give it to Sarachan. He is definitely trying his level best to show that Arena wasn't the only mangy old dog proudly incapable of learning new tricks. Mission Accomplished.
Because we have interm coach that is trying to become full time and thinks he's got a legit chance if he plays ugly and gets "results."
I'm fine with the formation if we had the players for it but it just doesn't work. Trapp can't play the 6 alone against quicker teams. We don't have the wide players for it. A single striker doesn't work if we don't have an excellent one or at least the ability to give service. It's just terrible all around.
You are right and you are wrong. Without CP we don't qualify. His stats make him the single most important player on any team in the world. Especially with this circus of incompetence.
I'm not a big fan of the formation but you're right we don't have the players for it and that makes it even worse.
At least they didn't schedule it for somewhere on the east coast, field conditions would have been soggy, to say the least.
I'll at least watch a while to see that backline. The over/under is huge with that group. From there forward I want to laugh. And cry.
This is a point I have thought some about and I think, probably to the rejoicing of several people, that I will not be posting during the match this time. My old eyes and somewhat arthritic hands makes posting too distracting and I, as I have said before, actually think this match is pretty important to the US players to prove they are better than the lack of coaching they have received and the lack of support from the USSF. I would like to really watch this match and see if there are glimmers of respectability seeping through. I will disappoint some people however and I may post at the half and I will post some of my views after the completion of the match. Also should it turn into a fiasco like a blowout or some such I may, after recovering from retching, post some thoughts even if the match is still on. There, that is about as threatening as an old man like me can get. Take that you BS posters!
