Really want to see a good effort here. Cannon needs a good game if he wants to show on the 23. Hasn't been great the last few. Otherwise just looking for steady performances and a win. Gotta keep getting better.
Way off topic but I'd like to see the US figure out a way to lift up the region's infrastructure a bit. It can only help us short and long term imo. Increase the competition level (which we're ready for) while keeping our guys healthier and in more competitive matches.
im not sure what ussf can do about that. i think mls has raised the level of play in concacaf a great deal. but in terms of garbage pitches and lack of cameras for var (actually sturdy enough structures to mount cameras on) we can only wonder how things could be different after a history full of rampant corruption. how many less golden-plated cat bowls or tricked out scooters would equal one bare bones drainage system? and the other huge factor to consider is that those conditions actually benefit the smaller nations.
That was a swim meet, not a soccer game. Nothing can be taken from that game as it pertains to soccer. But yeah, hopefully our guys play well and show something -- especially CCV, Long, and Haji. This is their chance.
What is going on? Pouring in Honduras yesterday. Pouring in Jamaica tonight. Pouring in El Salvador tonight. Good grief. At least Jamaica was good for a half (1st half), but the Honduras game yesterday was a farce both halves. Looks like a repeat of that for us.
