Can you say Treble? Until Arsesenal can compete in Europe effectively, they are just a good EPL team.
For all of you pointing to Mike Riley's penalty record, Martin Tyler brought up a good point. Riley was the last referee to award the opposing team a penalty at OT. The team, Liverpool and the scorer was Murphy. He will call a penalty if it is warrented.
Dont forget the diving tactics of C Ronaldo, The last time I saw a guy on the grass as much as him I was watching a Cheech & Chong movie.
Northside Rovers can go ahead, but I won't bother. Who really cares enough about a couple of provincial teams from a backwater league to actually care if they know the result of match before they watched the tape?
Youre right, anyone that hasnt been under a rock the last 24hrs surely has already heard the results.
And why shouldn't we protect those that have been under a rock for 24 hours?? Don't they deserve the upmost respect.....just think about what they've been through!! Not only have they been trapped under a rock, but then they were muscled out by the Arsenal attack!!
re: Ruud kick on Ashley... I think the play happened to fast for Ruud to intentionally kick Ashley they way it appeared on the replay. But having said that, Van the man didn't look to sorry about what happened so whatever. I don't feel sorry, I can't count how many times your lame ass team has cheated and been pu$$ies so I'm not sorry. We won and I'm going to have my moment in the sun dammit
Oh well how about a look in the past lets say pre-1990? Yeah they were around before 1990 which so many people these days over look. Manchester United, just an ordinary English club.
and wouldn't that be something? They were on everyone's relegation watchlist at the beginning of the season. It was usually two of the three promoted sides and Everton. Now they are challenging for the top of the table. Sweet. Hey Rooney.....suck it!!
Somebody reads the Sports Guy. I don't know if I'd call Rooney Everton's best player last season, he didn't start a whole lot games, IIRC. Tomas Radzinski was more crucial to Everton last year, and he's gone too.
Somebody suggested to him in an e-mail that he should rename it to the "Nomar Theory." And it's not so much removing the "best" player, but the superstar with whom the team is so closely associated.
I would suggest the "A-Rod Theory".....even though the Rangers didn't win a championship, both Texas and Seattle saw improvements in their records after A-Rod left for bigger and better things.
To make this Burn-related -- excuse me, FCD96-related, if FCD96 get rid of Jason Kreis, could we possibly see a completely new example of the Ewing (or Nomar) Theory at work? I mean, none of us could imagine the Burn without him, but at the same time, we never won a championship with him and the one year we did win anything (the Open Cup), he saw a lot of bench time.
Yet another reason he should go to Royal Salt Lake (see..it sounds stupid in English -- why would 'Real' sound better?)
