Just what every farmer needs... Ukrainian police have found a TOR air defense system along with a some missiles hidden on a farm. The farmer "acquired" the system during the free for all during the initial invasion an never reported it to authorities. Residents of the Kyiv region illegally acquired and stored Russian anti-aircraft missile system and ammunition. At first, the police discovered and seized the TOR air defense system (Unfortunately, the photo has not been published), later police managed to establish the location… pic.twitter.com/S72gG348wW— Special Kherson Cat 🐈🇺🇦 (@bayraktar_1love) September 29, 2023
That would be a ground based attack. Sadly, TORs can only be used for air defense. They'd need an IFV to do a proper job of defending the cows.
The Germans turned 88mm anti aircraft guns in to anti tank guns. You are telling me that the TOR's can't be used against dastardly cow tippers?
Well... There's the difference between a shell based system and a missile based system. TOR's minimum range is about 2km.
I understand that UA looks very similar to US, but Ukraine doesn't have a second amendment. (I actually don't know what Ukraine's laws are around gun possession)
Fine, whatever amendment number it is that guarantees Ukrainian's god given right to have all sorts of weapons stashed around in case the government gets all greedy with taxes and whatnot. I'm sure all countries have one of those.
And the A part I guess. I was thinking, based on the pictures I’ve seen, UA looks nothing like the parts of the USA that I know. The only thing that occurred to me is that maybe Chernobyl is a worst case scenario of what Three Mile Island could have been.
akshually the 88 was always a multi role gun. It just ended up having to be used a lot in the AT role for a time because PAK was shit.
Win win due to alignment of interests. We give Ukraine old weapons. We buy new weapons to replace them. Ukraine reclaims its territory, the Russian army gets destroyed, and American jobs get created. Russian oil is currently selling for around $86 a barrel. A large reason for this is the Greek shippers who were making tons of money sending price-limited oil around the world decided to make even more money and sell old ships to Russia for top dollar. Now 3/4ths of Russian oil production is being moved by this dark fleet. And because they don't use Western insurance and do the bare minimum to pretend they aren't going to Russia (like turn off transponders the day before and after hitting a Russian port), the West has collectively decided to do nothing about it.
Today, Ukraine and the world commemorate the 82nd anniversary of the Babyn Yar massacre, one of the most terrible Nazi crimes committed during the Holocaust.I paid tribute to the victims and thanked the Ukrainian Jewish community leaders for coming to pray and commemorate them. pic.twitter.com/J3BVpXLqfm— Volodymyr Zelenskyy / Володимир Зеленський (@ZelenskyyUa) September 29, 2023
