the way Sporting is playing they should have no problem, beating Sochaux

what position is Sochaux in the standings?

what's the results for Sochaux in the Uefa Cup?

They beat Tblisi 2-0 Lost to Newcastle 4-0.

They sit third in the group with 3 points.

Could tie Sporting with a Win.

SCP needs one point to advance. They hae scored 8 and conceded 1, so Panionios can't catch them unless they score a ton of goals. Sochaux needs to win to pretty much guarantee their spot, so SCP can't sit on this one too lightly. BTW, Sochaux is doing really well in France, so I think the 4-0 loss to Newcastle was kinda like Boavista losing 6-1 to SCP - it just wasn't their day.

Sporting is playing very well, Peseiro rested some players in today's win, I don't see Sochaux beating Sporting at Sporting

Sporting also got the fans coming out

I like the confidence but let's not forget that Sporting has a record of inconsistency in Europe (losing last year to Gaziantepspor, for example) so I'm not banking on past results or anything. Sochaux is no joke; they had a good run in Europe last year and are currently tied for third in the Championnat (that puts them in Champs League qualifying position), ahead of such teams as Monaco, Marseille, and PSG. I think Sporting should win, and their recent UEFA Cup form has been excellent, so I am cautiously optimistic.

Ugh. An early goal is not great news for Sporting; their offense is their strength and having to pour forward for an equalizer means their weak defense will be stretched all the more.

I think he's injured from the last game where he was subbed in the first half.

I hope Sporting doesn't do the usual and lose at home to "weaker" opponents.
