    these are the 4 teams Portugal can potentially face next month in the playoff;

    Turkey
    Bosnia
    Montenegro
    Estonia

    personally, i would prefer to avoid Bosnia just because of the familiarity and history from last playoff.

    I believe any of the other 3 teams would be doable, providing this team gets its key players back at full strength. Fabio, Pepe, and hopefully Bosingwa in a starting role, with hopefully a mending of fences with Carvalho in next few weeks specifically.

    i dont hold out hope for Bosingwa or Carvalho to be back with NT, nevermind inserted into starting lineup, but at this point just get Fabio and Pepe back healthy, and Portugal can take there chances.

    Estonia is the best case scenario. IMO the worst case scenario is Turkey

    I hope to avoid those turks. They have heart and a decent squad. Bosnia gave us cardiac arrest last time too so I hope to avoid them. The other two, no preference.

    um turkey also has gus hiddink as coach aka the giant killer machine

    would be typical gus hiddink crap to beat portugal in qualifying playoffs and have the commentators mention it every 5 seconds when turkey makes a couple upsets at euro 2012:rolleyes:

    I think I'm just going to PVR the playoff games and watch it after I know the result. Watching the seleccao live must be taking years off my life, it can't be healthy.

    Good thing we're playing the second leg at home, that second leg is the match that really matters.

    Portugal should get a couple away goals, then counter the ******** out of them with Bosingwa/Coentrao/Ronaldo/Nani/Danny when Bosnia has to open up in the second leg...with Carvalho-Pepe holding the fort.

    Sadly, Bento will most likely not mend that road with those two players:rolleyes:

    Very true and this is Bosnias nightmare matchup not Portugals. Portugal isn't dead against any team in this playoff. Portugal is the team that every unseeded team wanted to avoid. A playoff is never a breeze but Portugal will be one of the teams being drawn into the Euro groups in december, I'm sure of it.
