He can now play for Spain at Euro 2020 this summer. 👀Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte has had his switch in nationality from France to Spain approved by Fifa. #mancity #bbcfootball— BBC Sport (@BBCSport) May 14, 2021
Seems mad that Deschamps has alienated him to this extent. France have good alternatives but no country in the world should be ignoring Laporte.
They do have great depth in that area but it is still amazing. I assumed he had been cap tied by them.
Also Mangala has had 5 caps whilst Laporte remained available for France! Mental that they neglected him.
He’s only been playing in England for three years. Also not really a fan of recruiting players that way so would be weird if we did in my opinion.
Turkey could be a dark horse. They have some excellent players. Alot of young players too. Their main striker is leading lille to the French title
Kimpembe's a good player too, and Fofana looks like he's going to be class. Not sure I'd pick either one ahead of Laporte though.
Kimpembe always looks a disaster waiting to happen. Fofana looks good. They have alot of class defenders
Maybe I’ve just not seen enough of him but everytime I’ve seen Upemecano, I’ve never been totally convinced as yet despite the hype.
Not sure about that. Hazard is defnitely not at the level he was in 2018 and the spine of the team is aging. But Lukaku and KDB are definitely to be fully respected and they have quality players in most positions.
🇷🇺 Arsen Zakharyan (26 May 2003) has been included in Russia's preliminary squad for Euro 2020. If he makes an appearance, he will overtake Jetro Willems (18 years, 71 days) and become the youngest player ever to appear at a Euro Championship.— Mr. Numbers (@Mister_Numbers) May 17, 2021
