Is the Netherlands going to keep 6 teams in Europe for the coming seasons?

Last years the Netherlands has dropped 2 places in the standings, in 2001 we were still 6th, but now we are 8th. We've already lost the 3rd CL-spot to Greece.

    2001: 30.249 (6th place)
    2002: 34.165 (7th place)
    2003: 33.498 (8th place)

Scotland, the Czech Rep. and Turkey are not that far behind and drop to 9th place will mean only 4 European spots in stead of 6!!!!

This are the standings after this weeks matches:

    6.Portugal 34.083
    ---------------------
    7.Greece 32.082
    8.Netherlands 30.248
    ---------------------
    9.Scotland 28.875
    10.Czech Rep. 28.825
    11.Turkey 27.624

The coefficient is calculated in this way:
A victory is awarded with 2 points and a draw with 1 (in the preliminary rounds this is 1 and 0.5 respectively). There also is 1 bonuspoint for reaching the groupstage of the CL and the quarterfinal, semifinal and final of the CL and UEFA-cup.
The total number of points for a for a season is divided by the number of teams from that country.
The coefficient is then calculated as the sum of the year-coefficients from the last 5 seasons (so the coefficient of 2004, which results in the European spots for the 2005/06 CL and UEFA-cup, runs from 1999/00 till 2003/04)

It doesn't seem possible to overtake Greece, seeing that every Dutch club is struggling in Europe at the moment. Thank god big losses doesn't count as negative points (in terms of NAC's recent results).

Does this mean we should cheer for our rival teams in Europe ..??

Yes, every points a Dutch team gets is needed badly.
One positive thing: Viktoria Zizkov lost this afternoon and is eliminated.

It will be a very important meeting between Feyenoord and Teplice. If Feyenoord will be eliminated the Czechs will come very close.

    Everybody kalm down!
There is no need to worry!

    Because..........

AZ is going to play european football next season and I think my favourite club is going to get some point for Holland in that Uefa ranking.

(I know it sounds strange to say that AZ is going to win in europe as they're not really sure of uefa-cup football next year, but a good fan should always be positive!)

We're not done yet, and seems to me Ajax has to finish their own job before they can talk about other clubs. PSV and Feyenoord both have outside shots, but I'm still rooting against PSV :D
