Re: Standings after Yesterday - UEFA Champions League Pool 2007/2008 Ahhh....all is finally well, things are as they should be. Though i was in the same position last year, when Liverpool came out weak, and caused me to finish 2nd. (Which I certainly did NOT mind )

Well everyone, the final is decided and unfortunately for everyone except I-Got-The-Blues, so has the champion. Congrats I-Got-The-Blues. No matter who wins the finals, you win this pool. I am no longer the reigning champ. Its a battle for 2nd place now between BusbyBabes and Spartak. The scoresheet has been uploaded to the site and if someone would post the standings here, that would be nice.
Final standings are posted to the website. 6 people chose Manchester United to win it all out of 30 participants. I am planning on putting this together again for the 2008/09 Champions League. I am planning on including Q1/Q2/Q3 in a simple manner to gain a few points. I am planning on weighting the qualifying rounds VERY VERY small. To give you an idea, the winner this year had 5620 points and less than 100 points separated 1st and 8th place and 400 points separated first place and last place. I was planning on the qualifying rounds being worth less than 50 points maximum (if you chose them all correctly). This encourages enthusiasm in the first few rounds, but if you choose not to participate until the full competition, then you still have a chance to win. That is, unless you guys dont want me to do it this way... PLEASE give feedback on whether I should do it this way. Again, congrats to everyone who did better than me, especially the WINNER I-Got-The-Blues (but sorry for supporting the final loser). I guess you can put that you won this competition in your signature, if you like that kind of thing. Most importantly, I will be doing 2 different Euro2008 competitions. Look for those in the coming weeks. One will be similar (but not the same) as this Champions League Pool and the other will be a score pick 'em, where you pick each score.
