I think this game is gonna be a tough one. Almeria are a good side at home and will play the game of there life at home against us on Saturday.

Lets hope we can win and keep the 9 point lead.

I am a little worried about having no natural DM to play. I would Play Ramos there as he is the only other player to have played that postion. And play Salgado at RB as he had quite a good game on Sunday.

    Lets see.

    Hala Madrid

Diarra should be playing since mali are out. Also, i think on paper we are the strongest side but sometimes these small teams put abundance of energy to close and press us. I think almeria will play with atleast 10 players in the box so possesion will be a key component. If we can get a early goal then they will lose focus and that will allow us to play our game plan. Also, expect alot of chopping at the legs since they will not want us to play our game.

Yeah i cant see him playing as he was not at trainging today and also there are only 2 training sessions left before the game on Saturday. Also you have to take in to account the return flight form Africa to spain will take it's toll as well.

It's glaringly obvious that they don't score alot of goals, so as long as we keep compact and as solid as we can be at the back, and the front three put away their chances then I think we will win comfortably. I just hope the players don't take this game lightly after our recent matches with Atletico and Villarreal.

If Diarra does not play then I would play with no real DM. just play Baptista, Sneider and Guti with the usual trio upfront. Metzelder should be OK for this match, right? what about Salgado? Actually I would prefer Ramos at RB, with Metz and Canna in the center.

Then I guess our options are limited.

    Torres/Marcelo*----Ramos----Canna-----Salgado/Torres*

No DM, no defender in the bench.

    * depending on whether Salgado is fit to play.

this is a very important fixture. If we manage to win the next 3 games (Almeria, Valladolid@home, Betis) we will be Campeon. I'm pretty sure, Barca will drop points, when they have to visit the sanchez pizjuan and la romareda, which would in case of victories by us, increase the gap, and after this 3 games there are only 14 more games to play with only one semi-difficult awaytrip (zaragoza) - a lead by 10+ points is enough for 14 games in any case

of course its important that the players fight and play as if there was no gap. but theres no reason to have any doubt about this.

    Tricky Away games:
Mallorca - has been a dicey team for us lately
    Osasuna - Hostile place
    Real Zaragoza - Tough

    Difficult home games:
    Sevilla
    Barcelona

I would add Racing, they're having a spectacular season, and cross out Osasuna from that list - it ain't what it used to be.

I would add Valencia IF they change coaches soon. Barcelona is indeed a tough game but the fixture is so late (day 36) that it is unlikely to have a strong effect. Ditto for the Zaragoza away game (day 37 IIRC). Plus the fact that we close the season at home against Levante gives us even more maneuvering space.

I'd be SHOCKED if we don't win this sucker.

He didn't play when we faced them at home (and I don't believe he was injured), so I assume he won't be able to play in this one either.

BTW...was putting the #31 under "Madrid" in the stamp intentional 'nuff? :D

I took the rubix cube to mean everything was slotting into place now with Guti and Robinho being two of the catalysts.

Turns out it was just a rubix cube :D

Ah, yes the "W-W's", they are a good edition, however our crest already symbolizes winning and perfection so it's not really a necessity. ;)
