Playmaker Memo Arzate – my guess for the Nat Borchers award of 2004 – had three assists and has four goals and nine helpers this year. In 30 games at UCSB, he has 27 assists and 8 goals. In his sophomore season at a SoCal JuCo, he had 18 goals and 27 assists. If you’re not counting, that’s 54 assists in 2.5 seasons. Kid can pass! In didn’t show against UCSB but New Mexico GK Andrew Weber is a good one and will play professionally when he’s done. BTW, am I the only one who, when they write or think about New Mexico now finds themselves saying "ooohhh, there's a NEW Mexico!"?
