Our u15, really 14 y/0 just went 7-0 in a tournament in Holland last week. Beat Ajax 4-1 in the final and outscored their opponents 19-1(FC Porto, AIK Stockholm, AZ, PSV, FC Twente, Bayern Leverkusen, Ajax)
. From the article it seems like it will be a mix of that team with some actual 15 y/o. Dont really think results matter much at this age group, still too much physical growing to do, but good luck. Hopefully we meet at some point. Awesome that theyre actually televising it, hopefully good streams can be found.

Interesting that Mexico was at a U15 tournament in Holland last week vs PSV, FC Twente, Bayern Leverkusen, Ajax and US was at Marveld a U15 tournament in Holland last week vs PSV, FC Twente, Bayern Leverkusen and Ajax and they weren't the same tournament. Wait what?

Looks like the golden talent tournament was a U14 '98 tournament and Marveld was a U15 '97 tournament. Looks like both teams played very well OK Mexico dominated and unlikely they are the same teams in the Mexican tournament.

Article on just completed Marveld tourney also mentions upcoming trip to Mexico:

The U.S. also traveled there with three players - Mukwelle Akale, Cameron Lindley and Tommy Redding – who are currently part of the U.S. U17 Residency program and buoyed the U15s in Holland.
“Their experiences at residency as well as the physical conditioning really helped them,” Lepore said.
There’s little time for the U15s to rest, however, as the group turns its sights towards a tournament down in Mexico City. The team heads south of the border on June 15, and most of the same players will be going, minus Lindley and Redding, who will join up with the U17s for a trip to Costa Rica. Rigoberto Rojas is also set to miss out as he is recovering from a knee injury.
Three players, Collin Fernandez (Chicago Fire), Martin Salas (FC Dallas) and Sebastian Elney (Boca United), are set to replace that trio for the competition in Mexico City, as the U15s continue to navigate their way through a busy summer.

:devilish: Porterville will be the host to one of the W orld’s top soccer coaches over the next three weeks.

Cesar Javier Vega, who served as the assistant coach for two Mexican 17 and under national men’s World Cup championship teams will be hosted by the South Valley Chivas Academy in Porterville over the next three weeks, beginning today. Vega is scheduled to be in California through June 30.

During his time here, Vega will be working with the South Valley Chivas to identify potential elite players for he Academy. He will also attend South Valley Chivas tryouts, including Sunday’s tryouts for the Chivas 98 girls soccer team, which will be held at 10 a.m. at the Porterville Sports Complex. Vega will also attend South Valley Chivas practices, including a practice to be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Summit Charter Collegiate Academy.

During his time here, the Chivas Academy will also coordinate camps to be held for Northern and Southern California players.

Vega was an assistant coach for the Mexican 17 and under men’s team that won the World Cup in Peru in 2005 and was the assistant coach for the host Mexican 17 and under men’s team that won the World Cup in 2011 in Mexico. Vega also played an intregral part in developing many members of the current Mexican national senior men’s team.

1st half finishes Spain 1-0 USA. Spain with most of the possession but the USA started looking better towards the end of the 1st half.

FT Spain wins 1-0. The USA looked MUCH better in the 2nd half and created several chances. This team has a lot of technical players with decent vision. This is a good team. The USA kept Spain in their own half for most of the 2nd half. Alejandro Vergara the #8 was the MOTM for me. I don't see how a player as technical as Vergara will fit in with the L. A. Galaxy.

    Areas for improvement:

    1. First Touch(a few players)

    2. Corner kick taking

    3. Man-marking(defenders)

Vergara is an exciting player, and I'm sure he'll be just fine with the Galaxy. Mukwelle Akale was also impressive. USA had most of the possession in the second half and were unlucky not to come up with a goal.

I guess they were just nervous in the 1st half. Akale was dangerous on the right side but not much of a corner kick taker. Romero the goalkeeper was also solid.

Actually, some of the Galaxy youth teams are technical. The U16 DA team, for which Vergara plays, has a lot of technical players. He's very quick, but also very little.

Not that little. His size didn't stop him from running circles around the Spanish 15 defenders and their new "Puyol".

Game is at the same time (1 pm EST) both today vs. Costa Rica and tomorrow vs. Colombia. If you can find a stream again, that would rule.
