Re: U.S. Has Contingency Plans for a Draft of Medical Workers I agree. However, in fairness to Bush, he had to say somthing because the left keeps on telling everyone that he is ready to start the draft on Nov. 3rd, which he of course is not planning to do and does not want to do, and of course, does not need to do. He should have there will be no draft UNLESS World War 3 breaks out.

Re: U.S. Has Contingency Plans for a Draft of Medical Workers There is no doubt in my mind that Bush wants a draft. The fact is he needs a draft to continue his work on behalf of Israel and the Neocons. If there is no draft how can Bush maintain his troop commitments in Iraq and still stay on the offensive in the "War on Terror"? The "Bush Doctrine" screams out the fact that Bush wants a draft. Without diplomacy or a commitment to at least have strong intelligence before attacking this whole pre emptive strike nonsense makes the draft a necessity. www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=104&topic_id=716016
Re: U.S. Has Contingency Plans for a Draft of Medical Workers He does, however, have a plan to add 40,000 more active duty troops. Honest question....has he ever stated what mechanism he will use to add these troops? We've seen over and over that people aren't rushing out to join up....how do you increase the numbers in a military nobody wants to join? I'm surprised the reeps haven't called him on this.
Re: U.S. Has Contingency Plans for a Draft of Medical Workers Im not, because your argument hinges on the assumption that Iraq has hurt military recruitment. It would be in effect cutting off their arm to give Kerry a papercut on the finger.
Re: Are you young? Planning to vote for Bush? This is the site for you! That body armor choice is really, really ironic.
Re: Are you young? Planning to vote for Bush? This is the site for you! i thought this was gonna be a link to kevorkian's website
Re: Are you young? Planning to vote for Bush? This is the site for you! Why? (HINT: Be very careful. I'm laying a trap for you.)
Re: Are you young? Planning to vote for Bush? This is the site for you! Scare tactics? I thought we could put this in the "lie" category. I'll leave it open for now, but you'll have to convince me to leave it open for long.
Re: Are you young? Planning to vote for Bush? This is the site for you! I know your trap and you're gonna say that..hey...we didn't have to be there in the first place and Kerry was just defending the "right" decision.
Re: Are you young? Planning to vote for Bush? This is the site for you! Dude, where's my car bomb?!!!!
Re: Are you young? Planning to vote for Bush? This is the site for you! No, I'm going to say there were two versions of the same bill. Kerry was for version #1 and against version #2, and Bush was against version #2 (threatened to veto it, actually) and for version #2. Bush was just as much against body armor for the troops as Kerry was.
Re: U.S. Has Contingency Plans for a Draft of Medical Workers Actually, Iraq has hurt recruitment... http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4053171
Re: U.S. Has Contingency Plans for a Draft of Medical Workers Why was the name of this thread changed?
Re: U.S. Has Contingency Plans for a Draft of Medical Workers Was merged and this reflects the general conversation of draft talk. Why do you question everything?
Re: Are you young? Planning to vote for Bush? This is the site for you! So...he was against both version 2 and 2?? I was close... lol
Oops. I guess you figured it out. Kerry wanted to pay for the body armor, Bush wanted to put it on a credit card. Kerry was against charging it, Bush was against paying for it.
