    okay the rules are:
    1. players must be 23 yrs of age or younger and
    2. you can choose no more than one player from each country

    heres mine a 4-1-2-1-2

    (ARG)Messi (ENG)Rooney

    (FRA)
    Ribery

    Robben(HOL) (POR)C.Ronaldo

    (ITA)
    De Rossi

    Lahm(GER) (BEL)Kompany (SPN)Sergio Ramos (IVC)Eboue

    Ochoa
    (MEX)

    Substitutes

    GK: Kameni (Cameroon)
    D: Senderos (Switzerland)
    M: Kahlenberg (Denmark)
    F: Robinho (Brazil), Bojinov (Bulgaria)

this was extremely hard to do with the whole 1 player per country rule but here are some players that would have made it were it not for that
    Honorable Mentions:
    Torres, Fabregas(Spain)
    Podolski, Mertesacker, Schweinsteiger(Germany)
    van der Vaart (Holland)
    Guardado(Mexico)
    Tevez,Mascherano(Argentina)
    Anton Ferdinand(England)

    COMMENTS? SUGGESTIONS? (greatly appreciated)

rule #2 is what makes this so interesting:D ....trust me i really wanted him up there but theres no room for him without giving up Ramos and theres not many young defenders that stand out like Ramos does

I think Iniesta is a better choice than Cesc Fabregas.

I think choosing 11 players for a team is better than 9

You went wrong with the formation
Robben and ron play very wide and not this deeper.

You should add Arda Turan ''Galatasaray'' or Nuri Sahin from ''BVB'' .;) or Caner Erkin ''CSKA'' .

I would add Arda Turan, but Messi is in a similar position. I put Ronaldo on the left so he can roam around freely and keep switching with Diego and Messi. haha.

Sahin is good but he's like 17 and I'm gonna go with Diego in his spot.

Yeah Ronaldo is too deep and Messi doesn't normally play in the hole, with both argentina and barca he's more of a freewheeling forward who's usually on the right side, which is similar to Ribery. And Rooney I don't believe is usually an out-and out striker, I think he plays a withdrawn role.

Cesc Fabregas is a better all round player than Iniesta he is a better passer & tackler and his teamwork is second to none. And imagine how good Cesc Fabregas would have been if he stayed in Spain with all space you get.

I agree Cesc is a more well rounded player, bc Wenger's developing Cesc into a central midfielder. However, I'm not so sure Cesc is a better passer. Cesc does make some outstanding passes that result in goals (like againts ManU and Tunisia), but Iniesta continually is able to dictate the game by constantly keeping it in position and distributing the ball all around. That is one of the main keys to maintaining Barca's passing game. Iniesta's certainly not spectacular, and it's less obvious when he's playing well, but whenever Barca's playing a really fluid game, its usually bc of Iniesta and Deco.

Also, Cesc wasn't going to break into Barca's midfield (bc he would have competed with Xavi and Iniesta, and later Deco), and it's not really clear that they would have needed him.

Also, everyone in the Premiership is going to be rated higher than Liga players by the media.

Cesc is the best teenager in the world and Gab Marcotti agrees with me reading one of his articales in SI

If Cesc Fabregas is the best teenager in the world ( I disagree with that), why didn't he break into the Barca team? He was good in the world cup for only beating the likes of Saudi Arabia. Messi screwed up whichever team he played against last year.

Anyways there's really not much of a point to this discussion, seeing as there is no way to conclusively support either argument.

Although I will say this, that Messi plays on a team of superstars can never be used against him, that takes nothing away from his abilities, and in fact is more commendable because he was able to break into a star-studded team.
