Israel's U-17 squad opened up qualification in the Elite round with a 2 - 1 win over Serbia & Montenegro. Only the winners of the elite round groups proceed to the final tournament and so opening up with a win seemed essential.

Israel still has Romania and Ireland to face off against in the coming days.

this is great to see the kids that will be qualifying for the 2012 EURO doing well. it is essential to get great experience as a young lad. Hopefully we see them in Luxemberg over the summer.
