    Crazy dream scenario
FC Tulsa + Tulsa Roughnecks + Tulsa Athletic ==== Tulsa United !! :D
Buy the former baseball stadium (if still standing) , modify for soccer and try to unite all Tulsa Soccer fans under one team.

Surely Athletic fans will reject any sort of corporate ownership.

There's talk of a soccer stadium in Greenwood but the African-American community isn't too pleased.

Well if Detroit FC went corporate, thought it could work in Tulsa.
Now if the old baseball stadium is torn down, is that land available rather than Greenwood area? Soccer having its own place would be nice rather than playing in a ballpark. City championships, tournaments, NCAA, etc. etc. could play there also..

Every time I see this thread pop up, I’m always hoping the old name and logo will be revived.

I actually spoke to an acquaintance of an old NASL Tulsa player yesterday, Chris McGrath of Northern Ireland. He said that Chris had the time of his life playing for the Roughnecks.

Tulsa has a lot of potential. You could do more with a Tulsa United franchise.

Unfortunately the owners of the USL franchise don't seem to have the ambition or vision to make that happen, which means either someone needs to buy them out or start yet another team in NISA.

Does MLS Next Pro respect USL media rights?
