Don't worry. Barr will issue a summary of the investigation that will express his dismay at how incorrect the investigations results are and that Hillary is actually the most corrupt politician that has ever existed.
Unpresidented Bestselling novelists Stephen King and Don Winslow have offered to donate $200,000 (£153,000) to a children’s hospital if the White House press secretary, Stephanie Grisham, will hold a press conference. White House press briefings used to be a regular affair, but the last one was held more than 300 days ago, according to CNN, by Grisham’s predecessor in the role, Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Instead, Donald Trump prefers informal huddles with reporters, with his spokespeople appearing on sympathetic television channels to put their points across. Grisham told Fox and Friends in September that “a lot of reporters were doing [press briefings] to get famous”, and there were no plans to bring the briefing back in the near future. https://amp.theguardian.com/books/2...er-200k-if-white-house-holds-a-press-briefing
It goes without saying that both these men are more than willing to put up the money (in before the ugly accusations of grandstanding), but I don't understand why either thinks sick children matter to this administration. If they could choose the Whitest children's hospital, maybe, but my guess is they still wouldn't do it.
Yet another of the many, many ways that the Trump Presidency has corrupted useful conventions. With this White House, there is never generosity, good will, trust. It's always "If you can't find a law to make me do it, or you can but you can't enforce the law, then ******** off."
Trump speaking at half speed really brings out how incoherent he really is (and how much he slurs his speech)... when your drunk uncle thinks he's making a really good point: pic.twitter.com/uebN9irBm3— Arlen Parsa (@arlenparsa) January 10, 2019
It's slowed down to half speed to show him slurring and speaking incoherently. Normally, Trump speaks fairly quickly so you can't hear his difficulty speaking. Other than the slowing down, it's all Trump.
Maybe Fredrick Douglass can help him out. I hear he's really smart, in addition to doing some great things...
I've been waiting for someone to say this. Bolton will come at the last minute like the Avenger to save the day for Trump. MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough doesn’t trust John Bolton’s intentions when it comes to testifying before President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial. The “Morning Joe” host said he believes the former national security adviser has cut a behind-the-scenes deal with the White House on his offer to testify. https://www.rawstory.com/2020/01/th...mp-and-bolton-of-senate-testimony-conspiracy/
Dude only wants to testify in the Senate and not the House of reps, that should be a giant red flag for any liberal wishing that Bolton will flip on Trump.
To paraphrase the 2nd worst president of this millennium upon hearing Trump’s inauguration speech, this is some really weird shit. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/tr...-details-about-yovanovitch-movements-n1118226 There might actually be something to the Hyde stalking of Yovanovitch. It involves Hyde, Parnas, and a Belgian, because why the ******** not. The Belgian now has a Trump YouTube personality as his spokesperson, because of course he does. You can read about it, or just take my word for it and avoid the vertigo/bends combo meal.
Yeah, I wouldn't get excited about Bolton testifying. It could backfire if it allows Republicans to call in their desired witnesses.
I say tell Hunter to suck it up in exchange for bringing in whomever. However, I wouldn't trust the GOP Senate to hold up their end of the bargain. I could just see a senator object and appeal to the chair when Pompeo, or whomever, is called and that witness being denied.
It seems to me that there is zero upside for the Democrats to have Hunter Biden testify in the impeachment trial. His testimony is 100% irrelevant to whether or not Trump tried to do a shakedown on Ukraine, and it is nothing but a desperate distraction tactic from the GOP. If they so badly want to hear from him, open (yet another) investigation into his activities. The impeachment trial is not about him.
The level of pettiness, cruelty and nastiness of this whole family is simply shocking. It is a disease. Ouch: “A speech disorder is a lot easier to treat than a character defect’ -Capt. ‘Sully’ Sullenberger in his NYTimes OpEd after .@LaraLeaTrump appears to mock Biden’s stuttering https://t.co/43C3sm0Weh— JasminCHill (@jasminchill) January 19, 2020

Unlike most in Trump World, he was well credentialed. Before joining the State Department, Peek was a fellow at the Clements Center for National Security at the University of Texas. He graduated from Princeton University in 2003, received a master’s degree from the Harvard Kennedy School in 2005 and earned a doctorate in international relations from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. Peek was a U.S. Army intelligence officer serving in Afghanistan where he advised now-retired Marine Corps Gen. John Allen on several matters, including intelligence and Pakistani aspects of the war. Before Afghanistan, he was an adviser to Sens. Gordon Smith of Oregon and Mike Johanns of Nebraska. https://apnews.com/d62eab2291688a96acc7a3bb48a3eec2
Lev Parnas' gameplan in going public is becoming clearer - he's arguing that Barr's desire to shield Trump prevented DOJ from treating him fairly. Michael Cohen is actually trying the same thing. I don't know about the legal viability of that approach (any lawyers here?). But there'd seem to be a pretty strong argument on substance, given Barr's blatantly unethical lack of recusal, as well as the ongoing efforts of GOP leadership to keep Parnas' testimony and evidence out of the impeachment trial.
House Democrats should probably be making plans to impeach Barr. Republicans will ridicule any subsequent impeachments, of course, and their bad faith nonsense will be echoed by the media. But Barr is completely deserving, and he is not a sympathetic figure. If the coverup continues, the thing to do is investigate and punish the authors of the coverup.
