Remember that Amash is a climate change denying, pro-gun, anti Dept. of Ed., anti Obamacare (and wanted to repeal it), wants limited govt and voted for the Trump Tax Cuts. He sucks with the exception of a few issues like forever wars & immigration (his parents were immigrants). Hard pass.

I would perhaps be ok with say a Romney/Amash 3rd party candidacy.

Yes they would lose, but I imagine they would take a lot of republican votes away from Trump.

There are Republicans out there that will vote for Biden, those may be lost to Romney/Amash, but I suspect there are more reluctant Trump supporters that could never vote Democrats because of what ever reason, the best hope right now is that they stay home.

Then again, a problem could be that them staying home is better for down ballot democrats, other wise they may go to the polls to vote Romney, and then vote republican for other contests.

 

So, if Amash was running against Trump, would we be able to say #bothSidesDoIt?

Before I get outraged, what was the context of the conversation?

I am going to have to find it somewhere. And believe it or not, I am going to HOPE that it, in context, is not as bad as people are saying everywhere online.

 

I repeat: brace yourself. And if you happen to have a 24 kg kettlebell over your head at the time, put it down as smoothly as possible and restart the exercise after you've cleared your head.

 

So, the context really was in regards to the rebounding economy being the best cure for social inequities, with a shout-out to George Floyd in the midst of it. I am actually more stupefied about this than angry. On what planet does he find it appropriate to talk about George Floyd only in the context of the economy. He has a major malfunction.
