Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold is in line for his 100th Premier League start for the club against West Ham on Saturday, not bad progress considering he only made his first start for the club three years ago. "It's a great number, it's been a great ride so far, an interesting journey," said Reds boss Jurgen Klopp. "He came in with a super basis as a player and person, and used it to make big development steps. "When you see pictures from his first game, the boy who came in compared to the man now, even though he's a young man, the difference couldn't be bigger. When you look at his age, there is a lot of space for improvement and he will use that. "It's really nice to be part of this journey, because everyone dreams of it, and when you are part of it, it's pretty special."
Trent Alexander-Arnold is in line to make his 150th appearance for Liverpool on Saturday afternoon. The 22-year-old Scouser will achieve yet another career milestone should he feature against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. Of Alexander-Arnold's first 149 games for his boyhood club, 109 ended in victory.

a good article about how the coaching staff pushed Trent very hard to make the switch to RB. a huge part was his temperament - which wasn't good ... https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...the-story-behind-trent-alexander-arnolds-rise ‘He’d go off sulking’: the story behind Trent Alexander-Arnold’s rise Liverpool’s academy coaches made life tough and the result could be footballs booted away in anger, a new book reveals
Interesting article about some work TAA has been doing to improve his vision. I've been seeing a lot more written about this lately. https://www.skysports.com/football/...iel-laby-on-the-liverpool-players-improvement
wow, that's fascinating. given the doctor's association with baseball teams, I assume the connection was made by FSG. I wonder why other LFC players haven't tried it.
If you search Red Bull and TAA - you should find a video of the work he’s doing… ok ok I’ve done it for you https://www.redbull.com/gb-en/theredbulletin/trent-alexander-arnold-visions-perfect-pass
Trent Alexander-Arnold wins Premier League player of the month award after a goal and four assists during November as Liverpool defender beats team-mate Diogo Jota and Man City duo Joao Cancelo and Bernardo Silva to the prize. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...d-wins-Premier-League-player-month-award.html
great to see him get that much-deserved recognition. he so good, so often, it's so easy to take him for granted.

I'm going out on a limb here, but I'm gonna guess that wasn't written by Garth Crooks, Shearer, or any other ex-player who never played for Liverpool.
Alexander-Arnold's assist was his 10th in the Premier League and 13th in all competitions this season, meaning he leads the top flight and Liverpool in terms of creative output. The England international has reached double figures for assists in three separate seasons, becoming the first defender in Premier League history to do so.
Yesterday it looked to me that Trent was playing more centrally as a midfielder rather than down the wing when we were attacking with Hendo sliding out wide on the right . A tactical change by Jurgen?
that's been happening for at least a month or more. to mixed effect. It vacates our right side - so it's fine when we have the main CB pairing - but it allows Trent to see the field more - and maybe start getting shots off too (like yesterday).
Likely designed for play against those teams that “park the bus” shortly after the opening whistle…and don’t offer much going forward…
