What are the top 10 football songs??? WITHOUT COUNTING CLUB OR COUNTRY ANTHEMS (unless they are really good and you are not being biased)
Real songs i mean..i dont know any in any other language but portuguese..that is why i made this thread
Forever blowing bubbles... has always appeased to me. A few years ago at Celtic - Ajax a group of celtic fans were singing some kind of IRA song, I don't know what it's called though. It was pretty nasty but it sounded good
World In Motion, including the John Barnes rap bit? hmmm... Two Lions, very good, I really liked Carnival de Paris by Dario G:- it had the national instruments from each of the 32 countries in the world cup.. If you ever come across the World Cup Doo Wop by The Rosettes, it is my entry for the worst song of all time - not just worst football song, just worse song. I like Gascoinge Please (Delirio Gazza) by one Mr Martini, and if you can find Football Football I Like Football by Alan Randall (a George Formby impersonater, of all things), it should be wonderful, basically a musical list of all 92 football clubs in England, in alphabetcal order, however he misses out Norwich, and so it is crap. How many's that? What about Diamond Lights by Glen and Chris, or, if you'd rather (they obviously didn't), Hoddle & Waddle? Very poor. I remember years ago on John Peel some bloke used to lay electric music down over Liverpool commentary, Peely always played it..."Liverpool went one down, Rush equalised, and now, through Dalglish they have forged ahead", that sort of thing. I make that 8, so my last two are my teams, even so you said I couldn't:- Pumas anthem, Como No Te Voy a Querer and finally:- the oldest football song still being sung, the great On The Ball City, Norwich City, great stuff.
