Game is on 12:20 EST on Setanta US. It's already a big game for us at the start of the season and it will be hard going to St. James with a very young squad in front of 50,000. Can't wait to see the new squad against championship opposition.

    Prediction: 1-1

I think we'd be lucky to get a draw from this one.

    Prove me wrong, Royals.

Two scenarios: 1. Newcastles players look great in their effort to jump ship, and it's a very difficult match. 2. Newcastle's players look as if they've already jumped. In either case, i think this Reading team is up for it, not sure if we can score freely, but we'll hold the ball for long, long stretches, and sneak one in. 1-1 (bertrand)

is that official, or a prediction? Bit surprised Mills isn't getting a start, and both harps and marek looked shapr midweek. Still, that is a group that can gfet a goal, though i'd think church up top and long supporting, as he's sometimes played even wing fairly well.

Literally toon (men) 3 - Reading (boys) 0

completely outmatched. the youth movement is going to drive me insane. I do believe in youth, i do, i do , i do, i do.

But, man, it ain't gonna be easy for another month or so. Talent, but we're simply not professional enough.
OTOH: for all my calm exterior, wtf on the second, bunch of wasters standing around and watching, pierce turns his back assuming its heading out. aaaarrrrggghhh.

That drove me insane too. I would definitely like some more experience in the club. The average age of the starting eleven was about 22 years old. I still think a couple more players need to be added to the squad. As of right now we are 23rd in the table.

They'll look a lot better in League One next year.

Seriously--ownership doesn't act like they want to win. At all.
