Should MLS have stronger restrictions on players from abroad?

WTF? I don't want my kids growing up with dreams of MLS just to have some fancy pants Brazilian or Dutchman take their place! Plus the government is giving away green cards like they are food stamps! Where will the madness stop? I think someone should regulate this before it become a huge problem like in other countries.

MLS doesn't exist to cater to the American player; it exists as a product for a largely American audience. If Americans can't beat out foreigners for roster spots, then they either aren't good enough for MLS or they need to go elsewhere to prove their worth. Either way, I'm more interested in the product on the field than the individuals who make up that product.

There already is a limit on foreign players. And it's illegal for a green card holder to be treated any differently than a citizen.

Maybe that is b/c I'm the only one with any actual ideas on this forum... These rest of you only seem to want to criticize what other people come up with.

*sigh* The life of a genius is a lonely one. :(

    Meh.. I'm fickle.

MLS should sue the federal government. If they are going to pass out greencards like hotcakes so that hard working Americans lose opportunities for employment, they should expect some backlash.

The day "blue collar" and "professional athlete" are one in the same I'll give you this statement.

However, there's a much more real threat of Skynet taking over than of that happening.
