This is the type of guy who’s a “die hard” fan for about 2-3 years because it’s trendy. He’s probably forgotten Seattle even has a soccer team at this point.
Last Wednesday was the 15th anniversary (2008) of Frankie Hejduk picking up a red card. Get ready kids... This coming Wednesday is the 15th anniversary of Frankie chugging a beer.
Was that the USOC game at Jesse Owens Stadium vs Dallas? I seem to remember that was earlier—like in August or something.

5 Years ago today Haslams/Edwards families announce they are in talks to buy the Crew and keep them in Columbus.
I was on a golf course and my phone started blowing up. I looked at all the messages and told my golfing friends, "this round of golf is over, we are heading to Endeavor!" We sped across the city to join the celebration, arriving just before the official statement was released. AAA

OTD the Round Logo was revealed at a party featuring Mayor Coleman, Dong Arber, Queso, and the band New Politics. I met all of them that day. Don't as joyous as I once remember.
On this day was one of the best crew matches in history. Would love to see the org turn something like into a charity event in the future. See all those old crew greats in one place having fun on the cusp of save the crew being finalized was amazing.
