Dempsey starts on a, um, weak Fulham side. Trying to gain back his fitness while they get ready for Thursday.
Re: Dempsey/Ghost of Donovan: Everton v. Fulham 4/25 ESPN2 10am I take it Howard is out? Or is he so forgotten than he loses his space on the marquee to a player that has been gone for over a month?
Re: Dempsey/Ghost of Donovan: Everton v. Fulham 4/25 ESPN2 10am Everton: Howard, Hibbert, Jagielka, Distin, Baines, Bilyaletdinov, Neville, Arteta, Pienaar, Cahill, Yakubu. Subs: Turner, Yobo, Saha, Senderos, Anichebe, Baxter, Wallace. Fulham: Schwarzer, Pantsil, Smalling, Baird, Shorey, Dempsey, Dikgacoi, Greening, Riise, Okaka, Nevland. Subs: Zuberbuhler, Kelly, Teymourian, Stoor, Elm, Briggs, Buchtmann.
Re: Dempsey/Ghost of Donovan: Everton v. Fulham 4/25 ESPN2 10am Timmay needs no introduction. And I suck at starting threads, but nobody else did. So sue me.
Re: Dempsey/Ghost of Donovan: Everton v. Fulham 4/25 ESPN2 10am There should be plenty in the usual places, given it's a nationally televised game.
Re: Dempsey/Ghost of Donovan: Everton v. Fulham 4/25 ESPN2 10am You shouldn't assume I know the usual places...but yeah I found some in the "usual" place ...had to jog my memory... I wonder if WestHam will complain again this week? Maybe Hull this time...
Fulham just won the ball back and Dempsey didn't really even think about running forward into space. The Fulham game plan is apparently to try for their first point at Everton since 1959 according to the announcers.
Or since Fulham has no rightback, Dempsey starts and Davies starts at rightback? There is no simple solution to the problem of Baird being suspended for Thursday.
that goal couldn't have been more against the run of play too. Everton have been all over Fulham for the last 15 minutes or so.
I know that was a terrible blunder by Baines but that was an extremely cool finish by Nevland. It took quick thinking and a nice little touch to beat Howard and he did.
