http://www.washtimes.com/sports/20050629-120416-3665r.htm Good read I particularly like this line: "I'm just doing what I have to do. If I'm asked to play goalie, I'll do it. I will do what has to be done to win."
I have always thought that this kid would get himself set straight. At the youth levels he was bigger and faster than most everyone else and excelled because of this. Then injuries hit and now hopefully he is going in the right direction. One thing I will say is that when he was healthy for DC United he has always worked hard on both ends of the field.
Hopefully getting some time with the nats will boost his confidence higher and sharpen his attack. He's had some great opportunities to score and just like the rest of our offense, hasn't finished. Here's wishing Tino all the best on the MNT.
Well, that one US Open Cup game at the Soccerplex aside ......... I would agree I am very excited for Tino and I see this call-up really helping his confidence, giving him something additional to push himself toward, and cannot hurt DC United at all. I bet Kim ends up with Tino's gloves if he ever does play goalie
