As much as I would like a rebrand of the MLS and USMNT, it won't happen. Heck, there are so many teams that could use a SKC. My beloved Crew could do a little changing. Unfortunately, we sit on our butts to much to actually think that something good can happen from rebranding. We are too worried about keeping "tradition" or "image" in order to see the positives that come from getting rid of old crusty things. It's like everything else in the US...we sit around and watch everyone around us progress.
I would like to agree with you, but check out their polymer bills. Definitely a better option than the typical currency used.
So, DCU1996, where was this big name change you were so sure was coming? Good thing you wimped out and didn't take my wager, you would have lost big.
Yeah, that's what reminded me of DCU's post. I figured the logo might change but not the name. He disagreed.
Yeah, unless we get a league wide sponsorship naming (like Barclay's Premier League) then there's no way the logo is completely redone. It'll be cleaned up/updated/whatever.
I don't think so, and I doubt that MLS would be having 'Jersey Week' with old logos if they were about to roll out a new one.
The hell? Anyone who owns (or has seen) an authentic MLS jersey can tell you that the MLS patch they use has horizontal silver lines like that... that is not something new. If they really redesigned the logo and all they did was add some silver lines, that would be the biggest failure ever.
I'm wearing my 2009-2010 authentic today and the patch does not have the silver lines like my 2013 authentic does. I don't know if they were added in the 2011-2012 cycle.
just confirming that my last seasons authentic FCD jersey (bought at the beginning of the season, non jersey sponsor) has the same silver lines on the MLS patch.
