    I'd pass on this one.

It looks juvenile, and it acknowledges someone who really doesn't deserve it.

Alley comments also seem to dignify someone who doesnt deserve it. Why not just go with Per Aspera ad Astra?

    Conrad-inspired snarkiness gets a pass.

It still sounds weird to me as "Per aspera ad astra."

I much prefer "Ad astra per aspera"

    Well, yeah. Me too.

But I'm pretty sure we're in the minority.

Oddly enough, I almost prefer the Wizards version to stay the way it is because otherwise I'll get it mixed up with that band from Lawrence.

Same here, mostly because I see it that way every day I come home. My roomie and I are both from Kansas and we have a Kansas flag hanging in the front window of our house here in Indianapolis.

It doesn't matter to me which way it is said. The state motto seems appropriate.

Well then the state motto is "ad astra per aspera."

How about: "Our goal is to build the finest stadium in Major League Soccer supported by the finest staff and fill that with the finest fans in Major League Soccer watching the finest players. It's a pretty easy goal and anything less than that is not what we're interested in."

I know it's a bit long... but it's pretty badass.

'Ad astra per aspera' has my vote. It just rolls off the tongue. The translation fits this club perfectly. And the fact that it's Kansas's motto is only more fitting.

    Make that change.
