What the heck is up with this? "On Wednesday, Preki will be missing from the Kansas City lineup because of an elbow he threw at MetroStar Jeff Moore last week. Preki has been suspended for the game against the Burn. " The game against the Metrostars was one game before the KC game with the Earthquakes. If Preki was going to get a suspension for that foul on Moore (deserved IMO) why does KC get to sit Preki for an away game against Dallas instead of their home game against SJ? Is MLS just so incompetent that they can't review plays in a timely manner? Did KC get to choose which game he sits? Did MLS decide it was better to give Dallas the advantage of sitting KC's best playmaker against them instead of SJ, which is the one immediately following the match in question and thus the one he should have missed. This reeks of either incompetence or bias. We'll still beat Dallas and win the west, but this just doesn't seem right. -KMJvet
The reffing in MLS sucks so bad that the disciplinary committee is probably inundated with review requests that it likely takes them a few weeks to get to them.
Supposedly they review all the games.... so it wouldn't be that they're behind due to requests. It would have to be that they're simply not keeping up with the week-to-week workload. -kMJvet
