I am opposed ideologically to the Communist agenda but name one capitalist society that doesn't have poor and impoverished individuals dieing every day without government assistance, hasn't partipcated in unjust wars or voilence, doesn't have inadequate healthcare, doesn't have millions without adequate education, doesn't support government's through trade and financial resources who commit acts of brutality, and so on and so forth. The socialist side certainly is far from soaring majestically like a dove, but the capitalist peacock is certainly without much plummage as well.

I'm just wondering, since I'm Korean, if anything would've happened if I was sitting in 101. Kinda scary to know that people like that were there.

Thats tru but I think even if we did discuss it e'd end up just wasting our time :) But dont you agree that letting a bunch of commies wave their flag is less of "threat" than some racist punks? Thats all Im trying to say. They both should leave it at home, but the ESC cant go around telling EVERYONE to please stop because we I think as a free society we really cant, but when people have violent beleifs and will bring nothing but hate and vilence to our section then its a difference issue and the ESC cant just stand by(I dont think it will). Where as a bunch of dudes who wanna wear CHe shirts really doesnt pose a threat. Yes it shouldnt happen but it isnt something worth the time of the ESC to try and get rid of. DO you know what Im getting at?

I never said it was but it to me is far preferable to communism to have a large middle class, a small upper class, and small number of poor. Thats the ideal situtation. There are always going to be poor people no matter how idealistic some of the Reds may be. Niether communism nor unbridled capitalism offer anything to the middle and working class. I think the free market is a good thing but it needs to be restrained by labor unions, government, whatever. What we have in America today (and have had since at least the early 80's) is capitalism unchecked. "Free trade" does nothing but destroy the middle and working class.

Section 8 in Chicago seems to have embraced their Polish Ultras.... Are their Polish Ultras much different than ours?

(no sarcasm)... I really don't know.....

I know what your getting at I just disagree with the premise - you seem to think that leftist skinheads are somehow better that racist skinheads. I think both are equally intolerant of people that are different than they are.

    Switzerland?
    Taiwan?
    Sweden and Norway?

Poverty is a fact of life. Relatively speaking, that is. There will always be individuals, who are richer than others (even rate of consumption in purely communist states.) However, a "poor" person in one of the modern western European democracies is still better off than the vast majority of the human race in the past centuries.

Capitalism is so far the BEST system the human race has devised. It is much better at wealth generation than all of the other economic systems.

There have been plenty of incidents where Fire Ultras have started fights and engaged on other unsightly behaviors. It seems that a good many of these, not all, but many, are Polish ex-pats. Once certainly cannot look at all Polska fans this way, but one cannot help but notice that the trend is there.

I'm not even going to respond to this - read a history book. Look up Soviet Russia, Cambodia, China, Korea etc.

Nothing there are MANY races ALWAYS present in 101. Why these guys are choosing to come over such a diverse place is beyond me. But then again they prob find it easy since there was very little people in the section last Saturday. Thats why it is important to go and show up in numbers and just by you being there will tell them that this isnt the place for them. If we all choose not to go then that just leaves a a door wide open for them to set up shop.

I think there is a positive out of this incident(or future incidents) and that is that this can be a spark to get the section more unified. Somethimes it takes a bad thing to happen to make things right. If people are urged to show up and be a group maybe it would give us all something in common that we went thru so it will give us a sense of unity. I know that all the people that I talk to in that section is because I went on road trips with them and this is what road trips do. They force you to be more social and unified with the guy next to you. Where as people are more reluctant to chat up with people they have never even seen before.

It just seems that the large Polish presence has made for an electric atmosphere in Section 8, judging by what I have seen on tv... and speaking with Simon Borg (MLS PR guy)

There were no problems? Didn't people just say they were chanting racist remarks and doing the nazi salute? You don't view that as a problem? Does someone need to get beaten up first for you to realize that it's a problem? Oh, but as long as they support the Metros, I guess it's ok to be a racist. Jesus Christ man.

I never saw them do any of this in the stands... sheesh....
What they did during pre-game, halftime, post-game... I have no freken idea.... All I'm saying is there were a TON of non white people around them in the stands, and all they did was sing up for the Metros....

So you have some non-violent but most likely racist Polish fans, and add to that a belief (unsubstantiated) that a large portion of Chicago Ultra incidents were started by Polish fans, and from this you arrive at the conclusion that there is a "trend" with Polish fans?

Well this is my first season supporting the MetroStars, and I've yet to go to a game, but it doesn't change the fact that I really wanna go to a game. It's just kinda sad that people like those few fans are out there.
So what you don't see won't hurt you? Dude, you have people saying that they saw them do racist stuff. It doesn't bother you that people like that were sitting that close to you?

My question is what were all these white supremacist Poles thinking when Emmanuel Olisadebe basically carried them to the World Cup? Seriously, someone needs to ask that question? I suppose the German skinheads had similar issues when it came to Gerald Asamoah's contributions during their qualifying run.

Half of the white supremacists like the ones that were at the game are merely posers, don't have a real clue what it is they're supposedly believing in. They just needed something to give them an identity and they picked one of the worst things possible to give them one.

What is it about the sport of soccer that tends to attract degenerates? Every nationality has it it's bad apples, but soccer games seem to attract them like no other sport.

Hopefully, Juskowiak's first match won't attract more of this element.
