lol i wouldnt wear them (personally) not because i wouldnt want to, its just they are a bit of a collectors item. i have boots i buy for wearing, and ones for collecting....i have the e8 legends so i want the e8 lasers so the legends dont get lonely lol

mmm, i wear both laser 1s and 2s....i like both a lot. many people seem to like the 1s better for whatever reason. i like both equally to tell the truth.

anywho if you are serious about the trade just lemme know...i already have a pair of white laser 1s so im def. willing to trade the other pair.

ya sorry, i think ill be keeping the lasers then
but you shouldve been to that nike store, they mustve had like atleast 50 pairs of e8 lasers on the rack, and in every size, but they were gone in no time at all

oh and what i had really meant to say is laser 2s really suck quite the ass and will most likely rip the moment you try to play in them...but being as kind as i am, id be happy to trade you white laser 1s for those measly and lower quality laser 2 e8s :D lol

man, ive been wanting a pair of those laser e8s for the longest time....oh well....i guess ill keep checking other nike outlets.

but seriously, if you are ever at that nike outlet store again and by chance and they have laser e8s again in size 11.5 or 12 id seriously be willing to pay 30 bucks on top of whatever they are selling them for, just for your troubles.

It also depends on how many of the boot are made. for example, he new Umbro Specialis are worth between 190 and 250 msrp. right now but there are only 250 sumthn of them made and they are a collector's edition. so they will go up and be very hard to find. just like e8 anything.

well, since the subject of the value of boots was brought up in the general discussion, i thought i would bump this thread.

i would also like to hear more from you collector types out there on what you think about boot value....

like, what makes a boot more valuable down the line?
what are some boots you think the value of will increase down the line?
do all boots increase in value? do most stay the same? decrease?
what does time do to the value of a boot?
    etc. etc. etc.

personally, i was thinking about what somebody had asked about vapor SLs' value....i was thinking vapors in general seem to do really well value wise....older model vapors are hot commodities, especially hard to get or limited edition ones (the pink swoosh SLs, the pink vapors, euro vaps). although vapor SLs arnt exactly limited edition, they are a more expensive and less produced model. i would think the value of SLs will go up down the line.....i could be wrong though. i dont foresee them going down in value though!

ok,what are the next "manias" or accelerators? it seems pretty much any predator before the pulses (and the pulses in certain cases) seem to have GAINED value as the years rolled on....so what will be the next mania, so to speak? im thinking it will be older model vapors, like I thru III....isnt the vapor line a few years younger than the pred line?

    anywho....

Hi all hope this is the right place to be asking this:

I am considering selling some of my boots because all they do is sit in my cupboard untouched but i have no idea how much they might be worth... the ones im considering getting rid of are:

Nike Mercurial Vapor 1 Chrome/Lime R9 SG pair 1515/4500 (may need new nike snap studs soon if buyer want to play in them) UK Size 8

Adidas Predator Mania Champagne SG UK Size 8.5 Used but still in good condition

Adidas Predator Accelorator Electric Yellow FG UK Size 7.5 Used but still in very good condition

Adidas Predator Precision Electric Blue FG Size 8.5 Good condition

    Any feedback is much appreciated

all of those are actually quite valuable, even used.
i suggest searching ebay to see how those are going for at the moment.

just look it up on ebay.
there looks like a bunch selling for "buy it now" for 100-125.
is that colorway rare? then probably more.

but something's value is only what you can sell it for

thank you! i was thinking about purchasing a pair and selling them on ebay. but thats not much of a gain. another question. what does a womens shoe have to do with a shoes value? And soft ground? because i have some old predator manias in a womens brand new. And with the soft ground i really would like to know how it affects a boot. i do know that on the sls that soft ground takes away from the value.

yah it seems to me soft ground tend to not be as valuable because there seems to be less of a market for them....not too many regions in the world get to enjoy quality soft ground pitches (i only play on turf or dryer grass fields)...most non-pro players play on FG pitches....with i would say a gradual increase in turf fields (most new fields around me are turf....way less expensive upkeep)

although, it seems like the difference in value between FG and SG decreases with certain boots....people are stoked on Manias no matter if they are FG or SG.

and women's Manias? i had no clue they made women's manias...is it a different colorway? honestly, some guys with small feet could care less if they are supposed to be women's or not. in fact i remember reading here how someone liked the women's colorway way more than the men's of a boot and bought the women's instead. i think the main difference is that the women's sizes are like, +2.....err....i mean, a women's 9 is a men's 7. and who knows, maybe there is a girl out there searching for a women's mania!
