Steven Taylor might be someone I would take a look at if we are to stregthen the back 4. Martins is too small. Maybe Jonas. Other then that I don't know. They very well might pull a Leeds. Lots of players are going to be off and they probably have relegation clauses.

Taylor has stated he will stay at Newcastle even if they are relegated which they did. The more I look at Jonas, the more I feel we should not sign him. He only has pace and I don't even see his crosses connecting.

    Get me Bassong...

Bassong isn't a bad player, I don't know if he's better or worse than Dawson, though.

This is so much sweeter for me because I have a good friend who is a Newcastle fan who gave me a really hard time earlier this season. Now he knows how it feels.

I think it must be worst. They are going down and I really can't believe they could make it back up. There are going to be some strong teams down there. They will have to pay relegation fees and what not to the players get a new coaching staff and Ashley's fortunes aren't that great.

I would rather get David Wheater if we can. Don't want Downing whatsoever.

I think Tuncay would be a very good signing, he'll leave now since boro are relegated.

Very satisfying to see Newcastle go down after the utter shite we've had to listen to from some of their "fans". Funny to see how many of the gobby ones have completely abandoned ship once things went south.

Wheater is the best of the relegated players but he is going to have surgery over the summer as he's been carrying an injury. I suspect there will be a big que for him and Boro will hold out for a good 10 million or so.

Bassong is ok, plays like a young Distin. Makes mistakes but he's a good athelete and has potential.

Downing there is no need for as we have Modric and Bale on the left. I don't see Downing offering enough to justify the millions to sign him, even with a relegation discount. Hopefully it was Levy after him and Bent Harry doesn't want him.

Apart from that there aren't really any players who would add anything. Maybe Martins although he's on a very high salary and isn't really a team player.

Breaking news: Ricky Sbragia reveals he is standing down as Sunderland manager, having - just - kept them in the Premier League.

There were news this week that MJ is going to Sunderland if they stay up...so I guess that could be true now...

All I have to say is...

    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Sorry, I know it's classless to laugh at other people's misery, could have been us, etc, etc, but this is a bloody fantastic result.

Oh, how I'd love to see the faces of all those utter plonkers who post on their boards now.

    Still bigger than Spurs, eh!

Mods, please lobby to get their board moved to the Championship section asap.

Well to be honest he has a nice cross he can put in the box, but how many crosses have our strikers finished? Unless we get a good target man Stewart in my eyes would be useless cause Pav isn't as strong in the air as I would have thought. Also I think Luka has found a home out there on the left so I say get a central mid and another striker and someone in defense.

Also Hull should have gone down after there second half of the season. They were truly awful. Phil is a good guy and he hates Arsenal just as much as we do so I guess Im sitting on the fence.

I agree I have been impressed everytime I have watched Tuncay. Relegated players that have caught the eye include (our targets in bold) Brunt, Wheater, Downing, Tuncay, O'Neil, S. Taylor, Nolan, Martins, Bassong, Jonas, Beye.

I also think Marvin Emnes is a good young player/prospect.

How shit is Michael Owen! First touch of an elephant during the Villa game.

    And the streak continues...

In my lifetime, Manyoo has only won European finals in seasons that we won Wembley finals: 1991, 1999, 2008.

They didn't cooperate with us on the Wembley part this year, and look what happened

Aye, fully deserved winners. Fantastic from Xavi and Iniesta as usual.

Reservatov was 30 million well spent.
