Who wants a brand new, freshly 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀ed #MUWomen shirt? 😅@ChristenPress will be repping the number 2️⃣4️⃣ this season 💪— Manchester United Women (@ManUtdWomen) September 10, 2020 🥁 Meet our new (and first-ever) number 7️⃣7️⃣: @TobinHeath 🤩#MUWomen— Manchester United Women (@ManUtdWomen) September 10, 2020
United finishing the summer window with a flurry, signing another intriguing young prospect Alessia Russo (standout from UNC, where she's been playing for the last 3yrs). Picked 3 solid to top notch vets (Heath, Press and Staniforth), with 3 promising youngsters (Batlle, Fuso and Russo), while nailing down a couple of important players to multi year contracts. A job well done ahead of what should be an exciting season for the Ladies team. 🔴 𝑹𝑼𝑺𝑺𝑶 𝑰𝑺 𝑨 𝑹𝑬𝑫 🔴#MUWomen 🤝 @AlessiaRusso7— Manchester United Women (@ManUtdWomen) September 10, 2020
You'll enjoy this, #MUWomen fans – it's (finally) time to sit down with @TobinHeath! 🗣 pic.twitter.com/fZqZjoCa6m— Manchester United Women (@ManUtdWomen) September 22, 2020
That smile! I legitimately can't wait to see how her and Press will improve United's team this season, with the competition at the top being pretty stiff (from City, Chelsea and Arsenal particularly). All smiles for @TobinHeath – we feel that! 😄#MUWomen pic.twitter.com/cx7nprjOH9— Manchester United Women (@ManUtdWomen) September 22, 2020

I know the extended highlights and full replays are on there, but I'm uncertain if the matches are broadcast live. I like the look of our team. Lots of good technical players and smart players too. Leah Galton is an old school chalk on boots winger who gets/stays wide when required and gets crosses in and can come inside and shoot if need be. I had no idea how young Lauren James was. She's only just turned 18 this week and she is the business. Poise, power, great technique. She's got a little bit of fire too. I enjoy watcher her and Galton in attack.
How about that? Christen Press and Tobin Heath shirts outsold those of every Manchester United men's player for the first three days after their signings, according to @MikeKeegan_DM 🇺🇸 pic.twitter.com/FXNHhd6B4t— B/R Football (@brfootball) October 5, 2020 Even just one of them is more of a marquee signing than what we've got on the men's side for all intents and purposes. Both came on as subs yesterday in United's 3-0 vs Brighton and they acquitted themselves pretty well (even if there is still some rustiness in their play). Heath still got an assist though

Heath and Press (off the bench) open their goal accounts today in the Ladies 2-4 win vs West Ham. No stopping that from @TobinHeath! 💥What a way to score your first goal in the #BarclaysFAWSL! 👏 pic.twitter.com/79PMFdnvxI— Barclays Women's Super League (@BarclaysWSL) October 18, 2020 Press at the back post! 👋@ChristenPress scores her first goal for @ManUtdWomen off the bench! 🔥#BarclaysFAWSL pic.twitter.com/XjNtI0dYam— Barclays Women's Super League (@BarclaysWSL) October 18, 2020 After 5gms played, United find themselves 3rd in the table behind Arsenal and Everton (trailing them by 2pts).

Heath firing shots prior to this weekend's Manchester derby. Tobin Heath: "We were taught that Manchester is red. Like nobody goes to Manchester City games. I feel like, City, because they’re this modern global team, in the United States we think they’re a really big club. But here in Manchester, it’s not a big club.” #mulive [@nytimes] pic.twitter.com/KtKRT178sG— utdreport (@utdreport) November 13, 2020
Great comeback in the 2nd half, following a really poor first one from United. Game ended up all tied at 2-2. Superb goal from Heath to start the fightback. WHAT A GOAL. 🤯@TobinHeath has just lit up the Manchester derby! 🔥#WomensFootballWeekend pic.twitter.com/q0ThgoBoCg— Barclays Women's Super League (@BarclaysWSL) November 14, 2020 #MUWomen top of the League. 🔴 https://t.co/SoHUwsJtDh— Paul 𝕏 Manc Bald and Bred (@MufcWonItAll2) November 14, 2020 Sure got her (and the team) fired up. Much needed though: they were that bad in the opening period.
Well done to Casey Stoney and Tobin Heath for winning Manager of the Month and Player of the Month respectively.
The Ladies have opened up a 3pt lead at the top of the table after a hard fought in away vs Reading this past weekend. And they're doing with their 3 of their main CFs/goalscorers (Russo, Press and Sigsworth) currently out.
Big win, literally, for the Ladies today who beat Bristol City 6-1. The result keeps them top of the league for Christmas and until 2021. Heath and Galton with a brace each: Turner and Sigsworth with the other 2. They are rolling and the title charge is well and truly on by the looks of it.
4pt lead at the top of the table for the United Ladies going into the break. Merry Christmas! A couple of really beautiful goals in this one.
Tobin Heath (@TobinHeath ) ends 2020 with most Key Passes in #BarclaysFAWSL with 2️⃣7️⃣ Key Passes this season. She Also has the highest Shot Creating Actions Per 90 Minutes in the League 6.73 Shots per 90. Its too Easy for her. 🐐#MUWomen pic.twitter.com/DNxlCBFGgN— Manchester United Fan Club India (@MUFC_India) December 21, 2020 Heath has been really good so far this season. Took her a couple of games to get going but once she did, she really has had a huge impact. Press has not been anywhere near as successful: been in and out of the starting lineup and she's been sidelined for quite awhile (just came back before this break). Hopefully, she can get going in earnest in the 2nd half of the season and help the club go all the way. Heath aside, there have been some other top performers so far: Galton has really taken a major step forward this season and really become a class winger. I'll bet that having Tobin in the same team has helped her tremendously. Groenen and Zelem are class in midfield. The defense though has to be one of the high points on the team, with the Turner ladies a rock at the back, in the tradition of some of our finer CB partnerships on the men side over the year. Batlle has been a superb acquisition also and once she settled in, she's put some top, top performances as well and look forward to see what she can do as more time goes by. Stoney deserves big time praise though: she's proven herself to be the real deal. Not even being hyperbolic when I say that I'd have her in an assistant role to Ole, if it were possible: she definitely could help shape that defense up. She not only knows what she's doing but it's obvious she's got a very good handle on the team, along with the respect of the girls. This is a gritty team, that will fight for results. A lot of the fast progress of the team is down to her. She's been backed for sure but she put it all together and there is reason to be very optimistic for the future of that side, as long as she's at the helm. And she has a legit squad, with so many talent all over the place.
