I count 7 English managers in the Premier League now. Have I missed someone?

Even if 7 isn't such an impressive number, the age and attitude of the coaches is.

There's 8 - Bruce, Lampard, Wilder, Hodgson, Dyche, Potter, Smith, Howe.

There's also Rodgers who will undoubtedly be in contention for England job next time it comes up as well as i'm pretty sure the FA's England manager policy extends to home grown managers.

Certainly looks a lot more positive for life after Southgate when you consider the last time the job came up the favourites list was rounded out by Bruce, Pardew, Hoddle, and Howe.

A decent start to the season for Cooper, Bowyer and Parker.

Which championship manager have you been most impressed with?

All of the above, and don't forget Lee Johnson who might finally get Bristol into the playoffs this season.

There are a few stories about Emery's position at Arsenal today that reveal Rodgers and Howe made the long list for the Arsenal job last summer but not the cut for the short list (which was Allegri, Arterta, Henry, Lopetgui, Rangnick, Sampaoli, and Vieira)
