It may not happen as quick as you'd like. You may not see progress as soon as you want. It may not be done at the exact time you want it to. The webcam might not be up until the fall. I'm sorry I'm so frustrated about the snail's pace things seem to be on, but Mr. Fire and Rain is completely correct on this one. In a way, we're all bitching how hot it is in the summer, and how cold it is in the winter. Then we're bitching that we have no proper fall coat, or how silly it is not to have an umbrella on a cloudy spring day. I do have serious frustrations about the whole stadium, but I'm trying to remember that yes, the stadium will be built exactly as the higher power has determined, and my place is simply to remember that it isn't my place to question that plan, only to turn my will over to Zolo, and pray for the knowledge of Zolo's will for me, and the power to carry that out. Re: SYFPH - The stadium is going to get built! The stadium will get built, but then a lockout after the current CBA expires, coupled with the recession, will lead to MLS folding. But the stadium will still be there!
As I've said before, I think the team would be wasting its money doing too much (really, any) marketing or promotion before it has a name and colors. The point of marketing and publicity are to get your brand out in front of the public. If there's no brand, there's no point. Hopefully, in a few weeks, the team will have a name, a marketing identity (colors, word mark, and crest), and a phone number people can call to actually buy (not just put down deposits on) season tickets. That's when I'd expect to hear more out of them. Not hearing anything right now makes sense, even if everything is right on track.
I know deep down that it will be done....but it's like that whole Night before Christmas thing....WE have been waiting for what is it 15 years or so for this...I know for me i just want to see some physichal progress so my mind and heart can finally be on the same page!
I am confident it will be done as well. I doubt it will be done in time for the first month at least of the 2010 season but it will be done. However, I don't think the team is doing a good job with communicating in the interim. How about an e-mail every few weeks with an update of activities? The SoBs do a much better job at this than the team. I think a small, tangible item like this will calm a lot of anxious people.
I've heard the we won't be able to buy our actual tickets until around July and that is when the full payment will be due.
