Every time I hear his commentary or opinion on something related to United I wish he would just shut the ******** up. I loved him so much as a player but as an analyst he makes a fool of himself almost every time he opens his mouth.

 

Some caution about Sancho disciplinary issues, some of which I know but some of which were news to me (assuming true, usual source caveats etc.);

Sure there is racism in coverage in uk paps, no argument there.

If missing training and team meetings is true though, then that would be a red flag with someone like Ole who probably has the same standards on that issue as SAF did.

The plane thing I took to be more about leaving the country without informing the club than the mode of travel, which is usually a disciplinary no-no.

The haircut issue was more about breaking lockdown rules. Minor transgression if true.

Some fluff like the steak thing in the story, sure. But a couple of things that should warrant some caution if true.

Would still sign the guy though, just need to make sure we have the usual stuff in the contract and make sure the guy knows what is expected of him as a Man Utd player.

When you call the most minor of infringements a 'rap sheet' you are basically saying this person deserves to be treated like a criminal. That might seem like a reach, but that's the exact thinking that leads to a 15yo child being sent to jail for not doing all of her homework during the pandemic even though she wasn't any worse than her classmates.

These things get internalized and then people become less than human in the eyes of the beholder.

No, I didnt assumed him to be a prophet but as Ashur said something is lost in translation. I would be disappointed if we only Sancho but given how we have operated post SAF this wouldnt surprise most of us.

 

No other big profile, neither Badashile or Gabriel are big profile players.

Sancho has had a new contract offer on the table since last August, what incentive does he have to sign it now?

 

Keane I think realizes being a heel sells in his current role. And he is bitter af.

Scholes is actually not very intelligent.

He doesn't, outside of Lewa like deal. He gets higher wages but his contract still expires in 2022.

This was due to the second lockdown imposed in Manchester. Covid-19 is set to cost Utd £5mil per matchday in lost revenue. They had budgeted for fans to be back in stadiums by October.

Their transfer strategy followed the government’s information that fans could be back in stadiums by October.

Obviously, when a second lockdown was imposed, that created a great deal of uncertainty around how realistic that timeframe is. Ultimately, that impacts Utd’s strategy.
