calling it now, Terodde hat trick on Spain.
Goal scorer Simon Terodde from Bundesliga promoted Schalke 04 dreams of jumping into the national team. “Of course, the national team is a big dream. For which footballer not?” Said the FC Schalke 04 striker in an interview with “Sport1”.

The 34-year-old added: "But I'm totally humbled and keep going. If Hansi Flick really decides in the end that he needs a striker for Qatar who can play up front and score goals, and then he should think of me, then of course I'm ready. But I don't think about it too much at the moment.” The World Cup in Qatar starts on November 21. Germany meets Japan, Spain and the winner of the play-off duel New Zealand against Costa Rica in its preliminary round group.

    Janelt on dfb
This season you have caught the eye of national coach Hansi Flick, and there has already been contact. This week he nominates the squad for the upcoming games in the Nations League. When will we see you in the Germany jersey?

"I assume that the national coach has me on the screen. If the chance arises at some point, I'm of course ready. But I'm not someone who worries about the national team all the time. My goal for the coming years is to play in the Premier League and keep improving. I just want to do my thing."

World Cup is in half a year. Surely that must excite you.
"Naturally. There is nothing bigger for a footballer than a World Cup. But a lot can still happen before then – positively and negatively. My job is simply to make the selection as difficult as possible for the national coach."

Trapp was not good enough at PSG but he has improved with experience. Now he's an excellent player.

Leno is a very good shot stopper but the reason he lost his starting place at Arsenal is that (surprisingly for a German goalkeeper) his passing/distribution is really bad. Also, he doesn't command his area very well on set pieces.

thing about Trapp for me was always,
although not amazing, very solid, very reliable and doesn't make much mistakes. For position of GK, reliable is more important than anything.

ter Stegen is more talented but has made more blunders in NT than Trapp ever did.

Leno has never looked good for dfb but dfb in love him for longest time.

Well after last night… to come out on a big night like this with such a performance. If neuer can’t play would defiantly have Trapp as goalkeeper no 2.

Seems he can manage tbe pressure . Great performance from Trapp .

Nah.. Ter Stegen is still on another level and playing for years on it. Mats had incredible saves this season alone. It hasn't changed much, for many he is even better than Manuel Neuer who turned mediocre the last two seasons. Just compare the goaly stats in the Bundesliga.

Well I think Germany's three GKs are settled, then.

    Neuer, ter Stegen and Trapp.

I hope Rode makes enough of an impression in the CL group stage to stamp his boarding pass for Qatar. The NT sure needs his grit.

Thomas Tuchel: sacked by PSG, goes on to win the CL with Chelsea.

Kevin Trapp: returns to Eintracht Frankfurt after a few seasons playing for PSG, wins the EL.

    Coincidence? I think not.

He could be our Frings and would add another dimension to the team. With Gündogan and Goretzka both injury prone and Wirtz most likely it for the tourney, a strong performing Rode and Hofmann could be vital. I had high hopes for Florian Neuhaus too but he has played a very mediocre season.

I like this, no elitist attitude. If you play well you can get a call up.

but Gladbach did better with Neuhaus in XI than without. Tbf, whole team had a mediocre season.

on topic of Nehaus he's always done well for Germany Senior NT even this season and that's important too.

Its fair attitude but proves point that people need to stop bringing up 2BL CFs for call up....ain't happening. Have to show worth in top 5 leagues. Adeyemi boosted with CL for ex.

Some how the Defense seems a a bit ..mhh well I dont know some how some depth seems missing. I assume maybe that Hofmann could also be used in defense.

Surprised that Klosterman and TAH got the edge on Gosens, Gunther and Gintner and Koch.....

Defensive Midfield I see Stach kicked out Neuhaus and Weigl

Wirtz an Draxler both injured so no surprise there !!!!!!

Inn a 26 Man squad only 8 defenders ( 9 with Hofmann if that is what he was used for)

Basic stats on this 26 man team - nations League 2022
    • Average age 26.5 years
    • value 862.5 Million Euros
    vs
basic Stats of the 26 man squad Euro 2021
    • Average age 27.6 years
    • value 936.50 Million Euros
As you can see in one year we are more then a year younger on average, but have also lost in value.

I put more value on age then on actual financial value - happy the team is younger then a year ago. I think the sweet spot for age sit between 26 and 27 ;)

So looking at this ..........not a 100% sure how flick decide on some of these players .

Some how I feel something is not a 100% especially the on the full backs
he could have at least brought another back for LB
