It looks to me that none of the diagnoses were correct, apart from Mariano's. - Nacho was expected to be back this week, he's not. - LV and Jovic were expected to be out for a week or even 10 days more, but they are back. - They expected Isco to miss the remainder of the season, he missed just a week. I hate to say it, but it's been pretty obvious for a long time now that we don't have the best medical team.
Who expected that? The media? It's been at least a couple seasons that the club doesn't give return dates or expected unavailability time.
Exactly. Those timelines come from the media and their sources. The club isn’t setting those timelines for return.
sure, but we don’t know all the details or extent of these injuries, just the main gist. I don’t at all think it’s a reflection of a bad medical staff.
I simply don't think they are good enough for a top team like ours. Our players get injured a lot and I can't help but think that the medical team is partly to blame for that.
Fair enough, but that established opinion is obviously coloring your reaction to these recent returns. There is no reason to think the medical staff messed anything up. In fact, seeing how Asensio and Hazard are being handled thus far and the quick recoveries of these other players would actually indicate good work by the medical staff. I don’t think it’s black or white, seems like they managed much of the squad pretty well while in a few instances not so much. But again we don’t know really anything as fans as to why these injuries occur and what the recovery timelines are.
But both those players only made it back because of the pandemic situation, if the season had ended in May they wouldn't have played. Even now it looks like Hazard is not 100% fit. I'm not talking about this season only, overall we've had way too many injuries. I agree with your last sentence. The teams are "hiding" injury information now, maybe to throw opponents off or simply to protect the players.
I am a little worried about our lack of goals. We have such a stacked team from the keeper to the midfield But we suffer up top. Benzema is great but all of our wingers are not volume scorers. They are all creators that cross it. To add, Benzema is not a target man for that type of winger. He is more of a build up player. I don't think we can go into next season without adding scoring options. This season we will have to win the CL Atletico style. Defend and have Benz, Casemiro, and Ramos deliver 1-0 wins
Bale was going to start 3 games ago but he told Zidane that he was not in good condition. [Chiringuito]
Same problem we’ve had since last season, it’s just that we defend better now and our keeper is in much better form, Jovic was meant to help solve the issue but unfortunately it hasn’t quite worked for him yet one way or the other, it needs to be addressed before next season starts , our goal tally overall is again low this season,
We need more goals, more players comfortable taking players on 1 v 1 and more athleticism in midfield. It would be nice if we added some creativity too but that's more of a want at this point.
There was a report on German television about painkiller abuse in German football, and let me put it mildly...players returning from injury are not healthy.
It's the only one you have this much insight into though. I mean people still believe Bayern "fixed" Robben which is insane to me.
Good news if this is true https://www.skysports.com/football/...ast-16-second-leg-could-be-played-in-portugal

I thought this was confirmed already, to have two surfaces which can be rolled out depending if the team play or another event is taking place.
