Crew's Bliss looking for a striker in Honduras. Mainly interested in 29 year old Jocimar from Montagua. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OvxmxK3JJbg&eurl= yeah think we are missing that in our attack. If Bliss pulls that off I'm getting him plastered at the tailgate on opening day. got more about it on my blog: http://crewonespot.blogspot.com/ Also Crew have signed their left back. Gino Padula 31 years old who was a fixture with QPR from 2002-2005. Unsettled last few years with Nottingham Forest and has started more for Montpellier HSC of French League 2 including two appearances in 2008. And 7 in the fall. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gino_Padula
Stephen Goff reports the Crew looking at both Jocimar and dos Santos (I guess that they are looking to replicate DCU's Emilio success with a Brazilian-born forward who was playing in Honduras): *I am hearing that among the players Columbus technical director Brian Bliss is considering on his Honduras scouting trip are a pair of Brazilian-born forwards: Jocimar from Motagua and Allan dos Santos of Olimpia.
This article has a little bit more information in regards to the movie and Abel as an actor: Link: http://www.thespoiler.co.uk/index.php/2008/03/14/ex-prem-player-to-become-hollywood-star
I like what I see in highlights of Jocimar. Don't see many highlights of dos Santos but he has scored 4 in 10 matches during the clasura. Crew should just drop Hernandez and sign both. But, from what I see from Jocimar I think he could be as good or better then Emilio. Would be a nice pickup from Bliss.
The masked man to MLS? http://blog.washingtonpost.com/soccerinsider/2008/03/another_facundo_in_mls.html#comments "That would be forward Facundo Sava, 33, who has been scoring at a high rate for Racing in Argentina the last two years and had previously passed through Fulham and Celta Vigo." Paul.
Yeah high rate Racing scored only 2 goals in 6 matches and both were scored by him(Of those 6 he only played 4). But looking beyond that, yes, he scored 26 goals in 52 matches played at Racing. Also Racing has an excellent policy of "let's give away players that can save us from being a diaster".
according to SI.Anderson Cooper will report on 60 Minutes this weekend that David Beckham has an option to purchase a team in MLS after he quits playing............ I think this would be great for the league............. Lets see..............Oscar DeLa Hoya ...............Drew Carey.......and Becks... Looks like MLS is really going somewhere ....I like it if its true............
