I can't believe some people are suggesting Bolton will finish bottom...

That place will be taken by West Brom, Brum City or Sunderland.

    are you completely barmy?

Sunderland are s*** Boro will definatly finnish above them. I would put my house on it.

I do like some of the posters however. Some say 6th some even say 5th.

    I say 6/7th

Juninho's a class act and will lift the team, if not the whole city.

:D TLF scored after 10 mins in a boro shirt again.....

was a great goal too and he looked great. Even though he has had such a unrelaxed last few weeks since the WC. Looks like he never went away...

Actually, as I said at the beginning of this thread, I was going to suggest the running of a weekly prediction competition. I've run one on various fora for the last four years. It's run quite straightforwardly and would be open to as many people as who are interested. It's been my experience that you only get about 30 players at most who stick the season anyway.

The format is based on predicting the outcomes of the Premiership games each week including mid week matches. Sometimes, to give out extra points I include wild card games to test people's knowledge of other leagues/cups (inc Champions and FA) and give people lagging behind a chance to catch up.

The points are 3 for correct outcome and 5 for correct scoreline. Wild Card games are scored 4 and 7.

I'll post the games up each week and if someone can come up with a way of totting up scores great. Otherwise, it's relatively easy to do. Takes me about half an hour each week. Only condition is that people can only post the scores - no having to wade through commentary on people's predictions. There is a prize but I haven't decided on one yet.

    Shout if ye're interested.
