Heavy physio fr a couple of weeks and prob not in the Leeds squad. Hopefully on the bench for Milan. Gives Taki a chance to understudy Jota and make some hay.
Is there any point really scanning a hamstring? I think you know if you've tweaked it as opposed to torn it .... I suppose every bit of ectra knowledge allows the physios to zero in better with massage , etc ... I used to do my own home-made massage with asquash or tennis ball on a hard chair ..... speeded up recovery time, no-end ... bloody high pain-threshold sore carry-on though ...
Alright all you Thiago lovers, you've got no excuses now - there are literally no players in his way. If he can't start this weekend he might as well leave.
You had to say a players name (Taki, in this case) while speaking cheerfully about him and laid the curse of the injury upon him. Damn you, Zaq, damn you!
We're, what, three weeks into the proper season and we've lost 1/4 of our players? Now you see why I'm constantly bleating on and on about players' fitness records.
Seems like you'd be jumping for joy to see one of our players continue to be injured, or otherwise do poorly. Way to support the team, man. I guess being "right" is that important to you.
Trust me, I'd rather him be playing off the charts and be regaled as the best central midfielder in the world. And on his day he can be very, very close to that. But he's been injured (following the exact track record of his career prior to joining us). When he has been fit he hasn't been first choice for us despite us having to re-shuffle the midfield all of last year. This summer saw him as a rarely used sub for a decent Spanish team. And now an 18 yr old is ahead of him in the pecking order. If he isn't starting over the 20 yr old this weekend then it's clear he isn't fully trusted by our manager, especially given the links this week that we're willing to listen to a swap offer involving him for Kessie. I really do want him to be the player everybody wants him to be, but he has never actually been that player in his career.
physiotherapist Dr. Rajpal Brar talking about Harvey's injury: A dislocation with no fracture would see an absence of three to four months, a fracture with dislocation up to six months and any further extensive damage or setbacks would push beyond the six-month mark. But the point to hang on to from Dr Raj is that “Although ankle dislocation-fractures look bad, they typically have good outcomes in terms of healing and return to play and performance, unless there’s nerve damage or further complications.”
The club have released an update on Elliotts condition. “Liverpool Football Club can confirm Harvey Elliott has been discharged from hospital after suffering a serious ankle injury in the game against Leeds United on Sunday. “The 18-year-old was stretchered from the field at Elland Road after sustaining the injury in a challenge midway through the second half. “Elliott will be required to undergo surgery in the coming days and the club will offer a further update on his prognosis in due course. “Harvey, his family and Liverpool FC would like to place on record their thanks to the paramedics and all the staff at Leeds General Infirmary for the care and treatment given.” According to James Pearce, Elliott’s operation is likely to take place on Tuesday, which would suggest any timeframe for his recovery will not be set until late next week.
