Monty, I'm not doubting you wont. I'm talking to those who have given up on this team (and according to this thread 9 fans).

As a true Revs fan, I am allowed to hope for and demand more than the bare minimum of getting it together at the end and making a playoff run. I want my team to play attractive, effective attacking football ALL YEAR ROUND. EVEN IN JANUARY.

I'll be screaming my socks off (in my one room in the middle of DC) if the Revs make it to the MLS Cup, but that won't mean that I'll be happy with the state of the team. I want them to win EVERY trophy - CCC, Suporters Shield, MLS Cup and USOC. That means that have to play well ALL the time, not just at the end.

come on you should have more self confidence - go with your instincts.

you had at LEAST 2 optomist sure bets :)

My view is that despite the grand suckitude we have been exposed to, this team has more than enough talent, has the experience and has shown toughness required to pull it off.

    I expect nothing less.

True, but you've been a bit less optimistic recently, so I wasn't sure. :)

I mostly agree with you. The part I don't is that they haven't shown the toughness (and I don't mean physically, I mean they haven't shown the fight back that you'd like to see after some of these pathetic results).

How can anyone be optimistic or excited about mls when their players come out and say they aren't trying, the season doesn't matter, and they are underpaid and want to leave the league.

I'M EXCITED TO SEE THE NEXT GAME NOW!
